There is a tendency for rankings of next week’s matchups to move towards each other. It serves the ESPN hype machine.
The number won’t mean **** if we don’t keep getting the W. One game at a time. It wasn’t pretty and I know the fan base is expecting more than the performance we saw today. All we can do is continue to support these young men.
On a positive note Zeb Noland is having a big night..

It's totally and completely fair for Iowa State fans to not be happy with what happened on the field today. We're all happy the Cyclones won but there's no reason a team the Cyclones outmatch so badly in talent should be in such a close game.
I would guess we will be somewhere from 7-10

Iowa is in the drivers seat this year now that I look at it. If they get past ISU, they play 2 more ranked teams all regular season. 1 home and 1 on the road.....They will probably drop a game or two knowing Iowa, but man that sets up nice for them. (if they get past us).

You making this prediction actually makes me feel a lot better. Will you accept the loss if Iowa wins? Just curious.
There is a 99.99% chance we win and I doubt it will be close. I’m telling you we are going to be ready.

Washington just lost to Montana. They’ll drop from the rankings. We’ll drop a little but not a ton.
I think the best FCS teams these days are actually really good. Wouldn’t have the depth to get through an FBS season but they have talent.

Yep, but I am guessing Clemson or Georgia would have scored 30-40 points against UNI.
For some reason, i think if we were to play UNI 3rd week of October we would win by 30. Thats what makes this frustrating.
That is a fine way to play , but the game was in doubt till the last min, against UNI. A team that is going to win 4-5 games this season
