MY CHILD SLEPT FOR 8.5 HOURS LAST NIGHT!

of course, he's sick, slept like 1 hour at daycare so he was exhausted and then I stayed up til almost 1 trying to wait for the call on a race so I only got like 3 hours in a row, lol. Previously he hadn't slept longer than 5 hours. It was incredible. I checked twice to make sure he was breathing.

Yeah...it's funny how you're so eager to have them sleep for more than a 2 hour stretch, but as soon as they do, you're waking up on your own to go watch them breathe...
Generic "you", of course. I'd bet most parents do that at some point. :D

I find it interesting that people will post WTB on the ticket board and detail what they want and there are FS posts below that meet their request. Do they not even bother to read?

Or the ones saying they need tickets when all they have to do is go on Ticketmaster and take their pick.

I've been reading through an older thread for the past couple of days, before the platform changed. Emojis from the previous platform are now a one word description with a colon on either side like : cool : for  and  for :p I noticed something this morning. Instead of :twitchy: for the one that used to be a mad shaky face, it actually reads :twitcy:. I wonder if it's a typo, or an editorial statement?

Just the thought of old threads made me pull up Snowcraig #1. :D

Too bad I have yet another conference call and this one I have to pay attention to. I think this one idiot DR manager wants me to help him make up his timeline for the 4th DR we have done for this particular client and he was on the first three. smh

Well, a lot of the people ask way too much money for their tickets. They like to divide in their donation and then add a premium. It's worse for MBB, slim pickings for lower concourse and insane asking prices. How about just tossing them out there for the price listed on the ticket?

So the trip to the ENT did not resolve anything. I have to finish out my round of antibiotics and then come see him next Thursday. If my ear has not drained, then he will make an incision on my ear drum to have it drained. Thinks the infection might be deep in my ear and not draining as expected with the antibiotics. Another 6 days of this noise and ear pressure left. Fun.

Sympathies, man, ****** up inner ear stuff sucks. Had a few bad bouts with some inner ear stuff years ago. Never did figure out exactly what it was. Hypothesis was inner ear got inflamed, not infected, and got all funky and pissed off. Had dizzy spells and nausea along with crazy distorted hearing. Could not listen to the radio at all driving to work for a while, everything sound like it was being played through cracked speakers. Other days I couldn't drive, too dizzy. Since it was not an infection they just gave me anti nausea **** and a diuretic to try and reduce inner ear pressure. Would come and go and finally just went.

Giving you a one in a million shot, but hey...will only cost you a couple bucks. Get some stuff that you would use for stuffed up sinuses and load that down too. The ear and nose canals are extremely close and move back and forth. Find some sudafed (I can't spell the exact name of the generic but its what they used to use for meth ignitors), and flush your nose. Maybe you can dry some of it this way.

I was surprised the bar was open last night. Turns out the fire was caused by the meter for the Little Caesar's next door fried and essentially melted down. Everyone has power except for Little Caesar's and the only damage was all contained to the back hallway. OPPD said 3 days to get a new meter installed.

For basketball that's just capitalism in action. I see football tickets for Saturday were reduced to $35 in most parts of the stadium. Hopefully some of those empty sections will fill up a bit.

In September I ordered 2 tshirts and a hoodie from fanatics. For the life of me I can't find the hoodie. I remember washing them as I do all new clothes and putting them with all the other ISU shirts. Really baffled. Never got to wear it one time. I guess I need to go through all the piles of tshirts & sweatshirts and donate or toss what I don't wear. Maybe it will turn up.

It's a weird feeling isn't it?

Next week I head for the Apostle Islands in Lake Superior for my annual Wisconsin deer hunt. Today there is a winter storm warning for the area - 4 to 10 inches of snow, winds gusting up to 35 mph. Travel may be next to impossible.

I'm thankful we're only supposed to get a dusting.

as a follow up to this, last night little man wanted to make sure I wasn't concerned about his well-being so after going to bed at 7, he woke at 11:20, 2:45, and 5:10 and then my alarm went off at 6:30.

Thanks little man, mommy didn't worry so much last night!

Guess I should fuel up the Boxster, buy a can of Stabil and do the garage space shuffling. What little snow we are forecast for ain't gonna be melting soon, nothing out for a week that looks above freezing. Brrrr for November.

I remember the first time DD slept for 4 hours one Saturday morning. DH was out for work. She usually slept for maybe an hour, woke up, ate, we changed diaper, she went back to sleep for about an hour, etc.

I pretty much didn't know what I could do or start to do -- as in even take a shower -- so it was pretty much wasted on me. I wanted her to wake up so I could do stuff, but I wanted her to sleep so I could do more stuff. Ugh.

The next Saturday morning the same thing happened. Thought it was the start of something good. I was wrong. It didn't happen again.

Yes! the unexpectedly long nap and the conundrum of do I do anything or sit here? I usually ended up sitting there and doing stuff on my phone if I could.
