My parents and one set of grandparents are bridge players. My mom still plays bridge about once a week. On hubby’s side when all the family is together we will play a version of progressive rummy.

I never understood how bridge could be a game played just for entertainment. The bridge games I played in were very competitive, mistakes not tolerated. It was fun, but stressful.

If I want to play a card game just to pass the time, pitch works.....or 500.

Many of the 500 players I play with are adamant that you play this that way or that way. I always feel like I can fleece out an extra set with down my something goofy right away. It confuses them and they go off script and aren’t good at that.

She was really nice the one time I got to meet her. She didn't come off as awkward then. :(

Edit: also, @cowgirl836 were there any ark sightings up in Madison? Ancient looking guys with long flowing white beards wandering around, staff in hand? News reports this morning said something like nine inches of rain???

Some of the West side got 10 to 13. Just nuts. Not sure what we got, but not as much. Supposed to go out for a few things today and i think I better check roads first.....though we are downtown bound, not west side.

Watertown had 8+ inches last Friday, if they get any more they'll be really hurting.

Yep, that didn't help. We got 3 that night. So everything is already saturated.

I drove around Mad town on the Beltline Sunday morning, and the Yahara River was already even wider than usual. I can only imagine it today........

I always stop at Woodman's on the east side when I go home, I save a ton on liquor. If I ever get stopped and searched, I'll be in big trouble..........

Less than 1/4 inch here. Airport only got 1/10. It clouds up, gets dark and windy, fakes left and goes right and scoots past the cities without doing much for weeks now. I've mowed like once in the last month, maybe twice in six weeks or so. Yards moar dead then alive.

SIAP, but Yahoo News is reporting that authorities have discovered a body that they are pretty sure is Mollie Tibbetts'. :(
It's hard to know what reaction icon to use for this post. I hate the fact that there is a body (of anyone). I also know how hard it is on families to never know what happened to their child. Basically, it sucks all the way around.

I've been looking at the shore excursions for the alumni cruise we're doing next spring. Fun fact - we will be going through the Panama Canal, but we will not set foot in Panama. So will that count as a country "visited"?

Looks like probably another 3-4 inches for us last night. So a lot, but not nearly what further south and west had.
