I think Boxster would take a LOT of killing to get the job done.;)

Not exactly sure.
All of the appliances we have use numbers 1-7 for whatever you need to set. Why not 1-5 or 1-10? I understand amps going from 1-11 but the rest doesn't make any sense.

CF seems to finally be working and I am who I thought I was/am. Good thing, I was nervous I would become Carvers and I don't think I'd look good in lingerie. BTW, anybody on social media with Carvers? Convince her to get back on here.

Carvers takes breaks every now and again. If she wants to come back, she will.

I'd like to know why toasters have settings from "this toast will still be bread" to "this toast might actually start your kitchen on fire."

Wife keeps putting the toaster all the way to completely burnt lately. Not sure if she's warming up socks or something, but have to remember to check every time I use it.

We have a four-slice toaster with two controls. One side is his, one side is mine. I like mine done to a light brown. He likes his white, with an infinitesimal hint of crunch to it.

We, up to last I knew, liked our toast nearly the same. browned but still softer. She will toast bagels so we need ones with wide slice holes. Not sure if they make 4 slicers like that.

If making a lot of toast with our two slot toaster you need to progressively slide the indicator to the darker and darker side or let the toaster cool completely before starting the next couple pieces otherwise the toast will get less and less done.

So come back after my Sconnie weekend (it was five stars, for sure!) to find that I, like @BCClone, am getting CNE's alerts.

After lunch I finally logged in and am back to normal. Well, as normal as RTT gets, anyway.

Had a fabulous fish fry Friday night, great retirement party for my brother on Saturday, even got to play some sheepshead. (Wondering if @WooClone15 or @cowgirl836 or @stormchaser2014 know how to play it.)

The site was having issues all weekend. I had long lag times and got "thrown out" of the site probably a dozen times or more, but was able to re-enter almost immediately. I thought it was me until I started seeing all the broken quotes and twin posts on different threads (which usually occur when people get impatient and don't wait for the site to fully load).
Seems to be okay today.

Mine is dialed all the way to "lighter" which pretty much yields medium toast. That's okay given it's a 1948 Toastmaster. At it's age I give it some performance slack. Sort of a functioning daily use heirloom, wedding gift from my aunt n uncle to my parental units in 1948.

We used to play Sheepshead at my summer job, when I was in college. It's been 35 years ago, but seems to me it was a lot like the game in the rural Des Moines area called Pitch.

I still have my parents' first kitchen table - a 1949 vintage formica table that easily survived three girls, but took some abuse from the second generation of all boys. It was my primary kitchen table until we moved out here (with no kids left at home) in 2003, and I finally got my oak dining table & chairs. The formica is current stored in the closet (the legs are removable). I don't have the heart to give it up, but also don't have a place to use it. :(
