Parent of the year award nomination from our trip.

We decided to travel by subway throughout DC. To get from the airport to our hotel, it involved a connection. When we got off of the 1st train, the 12-year-old and I were in the lead and noticed that the red train was waiting. We rushed ahead and got on. I stepped slightly off to urge the rest of the family on. The door closed behind me and the 12-year old took off on the train without us.
You and Snowcraig should get together a write a book on parenting

This seemed highly relevant.

RIP Jan Hooks

If the Alamo did have a basement, Davy Crockett’s may have survived.

Zipper merges are just another thing for engineers to say it works perfectly when the reality is there are too many variables and egos involved for it to work properly.

I agree individuals reacting individually messes things up, but I think the idea is as more people learn not to merge 2 miles before the lane closure, over time it should gradually get better.

We were supposed to have flying cars by now so it shouldn't even be a problem.

I assume you went over the procedure if that ever happened before you showed up to DC? Get off on the next stop and wait?
