Well, sorta. They'll look for someone, probably distinguished already, who focuses more on African-American history.
Sadly, being from Iowa State doesn't do wonders for a school like Maryland. They'll go get an Ivy Leaguer or someone from a top-tier state program. Berlin went to Wisconsin. That's the kind of top-tier state program they'll look for.
Or maybe they'll look for the down-to-earth, humorous, hard-working Midwestern dude that also happens to be an expert in a very closely related field. We might be staying in College Park for our visit to DC this summer. You can list me as a reference.

So, we're watching Wheel of Fortune. Final puzzle is _ _ _ _ _ED _ _. At the end of the time I blurted "I F***ED UP. You should have seen the look on PapaLew's face! Oh, and the puzzle solution? "I GOOFED UP". I was close!!!
I said the same thing to my wife!

It's a great place for singles, or couples without kids. It pretty much sucked for raising a family. I'm with you on this one.

When I was at ISU my boss with the football team was basically offered a job with the 49ers and even with a sizeable raise they would only have been able to afford a three bedroom apartment or something. Why give up a nice house, yard etc. for that.

Was there some sort of delay or special programming on network TV tonight? We were watching a couple of movies; I flipped on Colbert and they were still in the middle of the news. Right now it's just past midnight, and Jimmy Fallon is still on. Should have been Seth a half hour ago.

Agree with Chaser Stanley Cup. Last game of series.

And edit my CBS was on time at least pretty close I think.

Last class Wednesday night! It was mostly about boobs so not much of interest.

They talked about fore vs. hind milk and one of the notes mentioned electrolytes. So DH is like, foremilk has what babies crave, it's got electrolytes! That's from something I'm guessing?

They showed many videos of babies eating and one new mom had a helpful lactation consultant. The consultant spoke and was very clearly Australian. I'm not sure if that helped the process but now I kinda want an Australian helper person too, she seemed very friendly.

Not gonna lie, I was way more knowledgeable than the average person in this class just due to my background so a lot of the stuff was routine to me. At some point DH was like how do you know X? And I'm like cause I know how boobs work! You milk them! He's like "I have boobs, can you milk me?" I do know what that's from.

Talking about burping babies and nurse person is like oh and babies fart. You'll be surprised at what they are capable of. Remembering the sounds nieces made, I won't say I don't look forward to baby farts. I predict they will be entertaining.

They made us practice different positions for holding the baby and that was awkward AF. Again, this thing staring up at you. Judging you.

Overall though, I didn't love the class. It was a bit too heavy-handed on the "feed your baby this way or they grow up fat, sick, and stupid" stuff. Like, **** happens and let's not put in things like "don't keep any formula around the house so you aren't tempted to use it" because really? Like women need more mom guilt. Also, it's nice that you'd like women to directly nurse for longer than three months. Telling us to try and extend our maternity leave if possible to do so........that's just not a reasonable suggestion.

Next week we're doing our tour and I have like a million questions so I think they're going to hate me.

Why, after the previous post, am I laughing at how CG is going to “collect” the extra milk for when Others May need to feed DB (dear baby?)

I'm telling you, I've played around with what they give women and it's like why the hell aren't they using milk machine inflations. Those soft rubbery ones seem a hell of a lot more comfy than hard plastic. DH is like well there you go, you could invent it.

It was the Stanley Cup on NBC. But our movie finished after 10.30, and I flipped back to live TV and Channel 8 was less than halfway through their news. Trust me, I notice these things because I despise Stacy Horst!

I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess that your bewbs are not the same shape as a cow's teats... :D

I would say pics but...I think we can agree that is not the most attractive thing.

In the first paragraph you state "Boobs so not much of interest". However, I'm fully interested right at that point.

You get used to it but seeing a woman hooked up to a breast pump is weird at first.

Speaking of the venting thread, wife just mentioned one issue I have with the local school district. (I have many, but with wife being on staff I have to be careful). There is an open position and she just mentioned to me who is getting an interview (sounds like one person getting one). It’s a local. They always hire the locals. This school district is weak and going backwards, I honestly believe my kids are being short changed in this district academically, but no way I can bounce them out since the wife is on staff and a local.

If your academics are weaker (although they don’t see it much because they are so focused on athletics), why hire those who came through your system. They say it’s because they will be committed, no..... it’s blind loyalty. Many of these teachers got a degree from a “college” I believe that just wants to sell degrees.

/rant. Have to go.

I mean, I understand there's an anatomical difference but why can't they be rubber???
I'm guessing that after 15 or so minutes, the rubber probably grips on pretty good and can cause some discomfort. The hard plastic would still slip around a bit and come off pretty easy.

I know that when I wear my rubber catsuit, it starts to chafe my nips after a while.
