Indeed, I took up the mantle years ago in a place far away, but I will wear it until my last. Stupid Hawks must be opposed.

Don’t need to qualify hawks, do not believe there is a smart hawk so it becomes redundant.

Was told wife’s tavern hawk bro is following his hero. Busted a clipboard at a 7th grade basketball tourney.

Channel flipping. See The Cutting Edge is on and we haven't seen this gif is some time in RTT.

Just got back from seeing Greatest Showman and I will second Wxman's recommendation. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Hugh Jackman is one versatile SOB.

I'd like to take a moment to thank Joseph Scates for shining a little sunlight on what was turning out to be a really crappy sports-related weekend.(basketball debacle, Tongamoa's OWI, daughter getting obliterated in soccer)

[The camera laying on the ice and her skating away can definitely cause vertigo]

I really wish I would have appreciated SRV when he was alive. I became interested when at work the day after he died and everyone was raving over him. Too little, too late.
I got to see him at the Iowa State Fair back in the late 80s. Gregg Allmann opened for him.

I have immunity to games like yesterday from watching in the 1970's dark ages of ISU hoops. Younger alumni don't have the scars and immunity from that period and take these losses too hard. I am pretty sure a vaccine could be made based on my immunity. I could be the Cyclone Omega Man.

When I was at ISU (75-77) the basketball crowds were pretty sparse. 5000 was a good crowd. Hercle Ivy was filling it up, and Art Johnson was clearing the boards, but for the most part it wasn't pretty. Ken Trickey (a very apt name, BTW) was the head coach, and then Lynn Nance. Those were dark days, to be sure.......

"I think everyone in the state of Iowa, even if they were born in Ames, wants to be a Hawkeye," said said Josh Schamberger of the Iowa City/Coralville Area and Convention Visitors Bureau. "It's going to be a great opportunity for everyone to be a Hawkeye for the day."

This man should be force-fed his own testicles.

**** Iowa!

To paraphrase, "I think everyone in the state of Iowa who is of diminished mental capacity wants to be a Hawkeye."
