Oldest son has multiple friends who work for Google. They know everything. But still proud one said our wifi was surprisingly fast in the boonies. (Same kid, well he's 26 but that is a kid to me) loved Hickory Park and said the Saucy Southerner was the greatest food value he had ever seen. He lives in the Bay area, I'm sure everything here seems dirt cheap.

Took the teenagers lunch between swim lessons and pool open. They were sitting out on a shaded slide with six kids between the ages of about 6 and 10. Said various grandparents and parents had dropped them off early. I guess this is pool daycare extended hours. My kids went out there with the first aid kit after one took a spill and had a bloody knee. They didn't think they should just let them in pool before opening time but thought they shouldn't be out there alone. Maybe I am just not with the times, but this seems sort of like child neglect. I guess they just assume the guards will just watch out for them even though no one even has to be there between the last lessons and opening. One kid had been there since his lesson that started at 9:00 and just sat around watching other lessons. It is freaking 97 degrees. At least the parents gave him a bunch of concession money before they dumped him.

yeah that does seem to be approaching neglect territory.

unless your first name is like, Megestina or something, that's creepy fo sho.

Wait did you find me on fb?
When you're that tall and your first name is Kareem, it's pretty obvious that your last name is Abdul-Jabbar. It doesn't matter how many times you try to tell people your name is Roger Murdoch.

Just made an urban guerrilla pruning run at the end of the alley on the two bowling ball sisters* lot. Hacked down the sprouting elm trees, sumac and other **** that was blocking a safe view right when you exit our alley. Do this while I think they are at work, not that I ever see them outside. And, no, trust me, it would not be easier to ask them to do it. I haul the debris back to my place and put it out with my trimmings.

Man, it is humid. Rethinking the need/desire to bike.

* so named because years back they had a bunch of colored bowling balls on stands in their yard that ended up in the street rolling several blocks away. Yah, odd.

Thanks for not stopping after the first sentence. Read fast and for a split second thought you squatted in a lot due to some prunes.

So this slightly ties into conversation I just had with coworkers. Our employer allows us to have our email on our phone (gmail, calendar, hangouts etc.) along with apps they have produced to record our time which due to our line of work is required for every tenth of an hour worked. However to do so you have to give them ability to monitor/secure your phone. My coworkers are very against this and are of the viewpoint that if our employer is not paying for at least a portion of their phone they are not giving this kind of control over to them or going to use it for work. Am I too laid back by allowing them to do so?

I'd vote no on this. What about any personal/ private info you have stored on it?They probably aren't supposed to look at it but once you turn it over to their security/IT people. You can be damn sure they would have full access to it. If you are comfortable with this go ahead because I can see where you might not want to screw around having 2 phones. Just my two cents but since you asked for opinions you got mine.

Went to supper with nephew for his B-day tonight, driving back there was lightening to the south followed it home and no rain. Well hopefully there are more chances are coming up.
