How'd it go for him? She said I'd be sedated but I'm not sure if that means I'm fully under or not
He survived. I don't know too many details but I think he got a ride home from a friend and I believe his throat was soar for a while.

When my last blood aunt passed last year, we attended the funeral. It was the most non traditional funeral I'd been to. At the funeral home. No obituaries stating when, where, or anything. Cousins would contact you. No burial. No lunch/ or social type time. When it got down to relatives, the daughters told us to meet them at BWW for a small family reunion. Actually was a nice group of 40 people that I hadn't seen in a bit.

Sounds like you are one of the people I hate. Eat whatever they want and don't gain any weight. I look at something that tastes good and gain 5 pounds.

My boys' father had a high metabolism. Mine is VERY slow. One boy like him, one boy like me. Around 35-ish, ex's metabolism slowed down and he could no longer eat continuously. Same for the son like him. They had to learn to eat less after years of eating whatever they wanted.

Other son & I both say:
"Karma"
:)

Yeah they did the echocardiogram last week and something about my right ventricle or aorta or something like that they want a better look at
Hopefully, your heart just grew from the Special Olympics fundraiser.

Seriously, our thoughts are with you. It certainly should be something treatable at your age.

Some people don't want anything special. Per his wishes my Dad was cremated, no funeral, no obituary, no viewing. The church wanted to do a mass in his honor but we said no because he didn't want any fanfare. We agreed to meet people as they came in the first mass after his passing because he really meant a lot to the parish

Sloth has made me it's *****. Not even going to share how late I slept today. Even after staying up till 1:40 it was unacceptable.

I would kill to be able to sleep in late some day. My body clock wakes me up at 5:30 whether I need to get up or not.

Well, I can't speak for that specific procedure, but back inna day, I had a scope down the hatch to look for ulcers/reflux damage. I wasn't out, but they gave me valium and I DGAF after that. Actually had to calm myself from a giggling fit so they could start the procedure. Things are all funny on valium.

My grandmother, before she passed, would say "I don't want a funeral, just put me in a pinewood box in the ground." Of course, we did have a wake/funeral, but what happens that week? About 8 inches of snow the first week of March in northern Indiana. Couldn't have a graveside service if we wanted, there was too much snow on the ground. We said it was my grandma getting back at us.

After the funeral service, we went to Pizza Hut with my immediate family, my grandma's older sister, and some other family members/attendees. Just found it weird to be eating pizza with my 88-year-old great-aunt after my grandma's funeral. It's a nice memory, though, to stick with a kind of crappy day.
