"BEER BARREL POLKA"

It's NOT "Roll Out The Barrel".

Clearly not band geeks...
I should have looked up the name of the song and not just posted the chorus. My lesson has not yet been learned. I was once scolded by a friend, as a young lad, for referring to the Quiet Riot song as "Bang Your Head" instead of "Metal Health".

IFR is correct. Not yet. Since money is tight I am keeping my eyes open for scholarships and stuff like that to get it though.

Yeah...he was saving up for it before we split. Accent on HE. One of the things that really contributed to our downfall - he spent amazing amounts of money on his "hobby", but told me we couldn't afford to send our boys to camp. Flying is a VERY expensive "hobby".

Everyone knows that Roll out the Barrel is a penalty when you lose a card game in the Warner Brothers Early to Bet cartoon featuring the Gambling Bug.

Not to confused with The Works which is a nastier penalty!

Please turn in your institutional sized bottle of Aqua Net at your nearest classic rock station.

Sadly yes and is the reason why even though my dad was a flight instructor once kids came around he quit flying. Now after 30 years he is close to getting back into it. Thankfully my wife fully supports it and enjoys it as well and our agreement is that she gets the same amount of money to spend on whatever she wants as I do for flying. Thus I have not flown in a year.

Now if my dad get's his license or I can find a scholarship I may get to flying this year. Otherwise probably not.

I don't do well with heights. In an airline jet I can avoid the window seat, and pretend I'm on a bus. In a small plane, there's simply no getting away from the fact that you are way the hell up there. I'm glad your wife enjoys it! Me - I'll shell out for someone else to do the flying when I need to get somewhere via air. ;)

Who walked through the streets of Soho in the rain?

Arrrr- OOOOO! He was drinking a Pina Colada at Trader Vics.

His hair was perfect

I'd like to meet his tailer.

Those lines were bugging the heck out of me and I finally googled...

You know, I never knew what the lyrics were (other than the very obvious catch-phrase). They're really pretty stupid, aren't they? :)

But did you google well enough for my reference to make sense? Two other songs on that Warren Zevon album (yes it was an album when it first came out).

They're stupid in a clever way.

The first time I did skydiving I was sitting right by the open door to the little plane. I kept leaning out to look and the instructor (Hashem) kept telling me not to do that.
