I've got 3.5 to go. Though boss is down at the grounds, team boss is headed out, it's going to be quiet here this afternoon. Got done what I wanted to catch up on.......so it'll probably not be 3.5 hours before I leave.

so here is the rule that would have applied tonight. The section title is team size and forfeits:



If a player leaves a game for any reason and no substitute is available, or a team is


shorthanded, the game may proceed as long as there are at least 8 players present with at


least 4 females. The kicking order may need to be changed to ensure alternating male and


female kickers.


So they started with only 7 players (which we had to ok) but were down to 5 then in the sixth. So my understanding is then is that since they would not have been able to continue the game, they would have had to forfeit. Game can end at the bottom of the sixth if the leading team is up by 10 or more, which they were not. There isn't anything noting exceptions for medical reasons. We actually had two people hurt our first game but we started with 12 so we were good.

My flag football team has had 2-3 concussions, 1 broken finger and a sprained ankle so far this year.

well the two were pulled muscles from not warming up. They could play the next week.

One of the concussions was pretty bad. He went to stand up and his legs just gave out. We called the ambulance on that one.

yeah that's no good. Thankfully nothing that bad so far. Though obviously dislocated shoulder guy was getting taken in.


Guy in dodgeball last year broke his arm throwing the ball. No, it was a game before we got there, I was not involved!

I just lost half of my lunch hour to a client who was going to be here at 1.00. I had told her that the office was closed until then...but if I had not yet opened my office back up to knock. Well, she did...at 12.30. Then needed all kinds of help because she had no idea what she was doing...and couldn't reach any of the people she needed to answer questions because "SURPRISE" EVERYONE WAS AT LUNCH.
