the hypocrisy is annoying.

It'd be a little funny if the friend had done it, but it really bothers me that some grown *** man just walked up and did that. Not ok, no matter what the kid was doing. But I feel so dirty having to defend a Hawk like that.

Having lived with multiple fifteen year old boys, I can tell you they can be long on smack, and woefully short on common sense and awareness of surroundings. I have a feeling there was probably a little bit more than teasing his bud happening, or that perhaps it was loud enough to carry over to the people around them...and there may have been words back & forth between him & the assailant. It kind of surprises me that even a drunk guy would walk up & punch someone in the face for "just teasing his friend". Maybe we'll learn there was more, and what it was...maybe we won't. Basically, I'm guessing that the kid was annoying, the guy was drunk, and that's a bad combination. Doesn't justify hitting him; drunk or not, the guy should not have hit a 15 year old, but I can also see how easily it could happen...to a Hawkeye, a Badger, OR a Cyclone.

Over on the east side if Wi. by Two Harbors or Manitowic (Spelling) there used to be a little radio station that played polka all day everyday, I would tune into it while driving thru. If you drove about 20 miles you would be out of range and back to regular radio stuff.

I like polka (the music genre AND the dance)...but a little goes a very long way.

Couple of my kids looked older at 15, couple looked younger. Without knowing what the kid looked like I didn't want to include that variable.

I tried to pet a cow today. I believe it was a shorthorn, female. It kept mooing at us while we were looking at some trees. It was standing by a fence, so I walked up to it. Then it ran away.
