Random Thoughts IX (The first 8 were probably better)

Noticed lately several men who have grayer hair than mine have suddenly lost them. My dad colored his hair, so I'm told, but I have no desire to. Anybody do it? Or somebody bought about it? I admit to having a perm in college to show I'm not making fun of coloring or things like that. I more find hair an annoyance that has to be maintained.

I just pluck out mine that spiral out from the rest. I started out as a honey blonde, but my gray hair is white so the mix of the two probably just makes me look like a bleach blonde. Have been trying to decide if I should mess with it or not.

Had an awkward conversation with a woman at church who had recently dyed her hair. She had nice medium brown hair, but whatever dye she used made it look kind of fried orange. And then she was fishing for compliments on it. So I just went with the "it's nice to mix things up once in a while" response. Very distracting with the eyebrows her old color too.

I was able to keep up the step thing for about a year. Been getting lazy now. Well, I take that back. Now that it's fast-forwarding to April I'm like hey let's go run or walk around some more.

Side note, there must be muscles alongside your knee that you only use while running and not while punching things, doing burpees, jumping jacks, etc. My body is not amused at my attempt to come out of running hibernation.
Careful. Those might be ligaments. I tore one of mine when I was just a couple of years older than you and I noticed that area was bugging me when I started exercising if I didn't do plenty of stretching.

hey remember that time I painted a room yellow? And I was like dialing it back so it wouldn't be neon? We didn't dial it back enough. So I remember I posted a pic here and Arob and others were like mah Gawd my eyes and I was like hey it looks way better in person.

I was right.

And then you put it on four walls, wait til nighttime and put some fluorescent lights on it and it became mah Gawd my eyes. So we're looking at new colors. For funsies, I took a pic last night of current contenders next to existing wall color's sample. Wanted to see if they looked similar under flash photos.

Bet you can't guess which one is the current wall color :jimlad:

Your idea of funsies is different than most.

I'll admit that I did it for a little while. I quickly grew to despise it and it was a pain and you ended up with little brown spots all over the shower walls that you had to wipe off later. Never again. Of course, I don't have enough hair left to make it worthwhile now anyway.

Do not want to hear about you wiping down spots in your shower. No No No.

I suppose. I was mostly interested to see if the other samples would be garish in the camera light as well. They are not. In fact, they get washed out. Which I hope is good for when there is a lot of it on the wall?

My real idea of funsies is cross stitching! That's where the excitement is.

Hubby has jet black hair and can carry off the distinguished salt/pepper look. I however require much more hair maintenance to try and have a color that looks better than dishwater.

Last night the 5yr old found a sock in the fridge. Apparently the 13yr old was trying to annoy the 11yr old and took/hid her sock a few weeks ago.

Also got mad at the littlest 2 last night at bedtime when they were rowdy so shot them a mom look. The 5 yr old says, "Don't make that angry face again, that face is freaky!"

Trying to claim/retain the title of RT push-up queen (only applies to true females). My workout today was upper body strength and then the "extra credit" video was 5 push up variations. First time attempting one leg push ups, did more than I thought I would especially considering had already sufficiently tired out the arms.

Grilling ribs tonight.

yikes. I usually get this and other "oh hello running" soreness when I come back after winter. M guess is tightness in some under worked muscles. But yeah, I should stretch more, I'm bad about that.

think DH was going to grill brats tonight, actually the 2nd time we've used the grill this year. Did steaks a couple weeks ago.

If you are looking for some real fun, you can do one arm/leg burpees (so using 3 of four appendages). For double fun, you can try opposite arm and leg burpee and only use 2 appendages.
