Frustrating but I just didn't have enough pull on the hiring board. The one lady I had to have another interview with to try to sway her has been close with the one they chose for a long time. A contributing issue is something my employer has always struggled with having the opportunities for young talent to grow and get promoted before leaving out of frustration.

I've been there. Took 5 years to become a Sr. Manager from an agent when I first started. Saw a lot of employees my age in the company not get promoted after year one and they left. Not saying you were expecting something that fast, just relating to seeing the frustration.

I had an idea for a food cart where you do all sorts of walking tacos. pick a bag of chips, pick your toppings. Could do several different main menu items as well, Like obviously the standard walking taco with doritos and taco meat, but could do a bbq chips with pulled pork and maybe baked beans or slaw, or some sort of phillly style one using standard potatoes chips, cheese wiz and ribeye.

whoa, blast from the past here. Batman is alive!

Yeah. We certainly don't want to move and I love my employer so I am not leaving after this one but if it keeps up I will probably start looking around. The most frustrating part is it was the perfect next step and I was told all along I was doing awesome. One more position available but that one I have no experience with the group so I am not holding my breath.

anyone ever worked as a pizza delivery driver before?
I never have but I would imagine that there has to be someone here that did it at some point.

I knew a guy that started delivering pizzas for Dominos about 1980. He did it because he didn't have to get out of bed early, could smoke weed and get free pizza at the end of the night.
In those days the only starting jobs at Dominos were drivers. They always hired from within. Last I heard he was some district manager in the Chicago area.(That was a long time ago) Not bad for a stoner that didn't want to get out of bed in the morning.

ok Pinterest. I'm fine with the suggestions for home workout ideas. I like those. I'm less enthused about the multiple "workouts for overweight", "yoga for the obese beginner", "plus-size modified yoga", and "protection from bladder leakage" pins picked for me all of a sudden.

I think perhaps I broke their algorithm by pinning so many cross stitch and home workout ideas. It thinks I'm an obese old woman.

I don't even like yoga!

Don't like yoga?! Blasphemy! But I'd be upset about those ads too. They certainly do seem to come up with something to make their assumptions about you. The uptick in my Facebook ads from Match and Zoosk have been cracking me up. Is it just as simple as the fact that my FB relationship status is single? Or are they using something else to figure it out?

The algorithm may not be assuming you're old so much as assuming you've had a baby.

This commercial has been stuck in my head since bowl season started, which I guess is what the creators wanted, but I think it is my version of the lady gaga commercial

I think it's that you're single because I get those too (though I used to get more). They might show you different ads though based on your demographic info.

this is a possibility too. There are lots of baby registry suggestions as well. You may have nailed it. Most of the cross stitch patterns I pin are for babies since I do those as gifts.

I thought my furnace broke last night, fortunately I am just not very smart and had been turning it down when I thought I was turning it up.

You need to mount the thermostat higher on the wall. At the standard 60" mounting height you are stooping over too far to read it easily. I'm all about ergonomics, man.

So I have a conference call for the training that I am leaving for next week in a half an hour. It's going to be pretty standard stuff, don't carry your firearm with you on campus, no outside food or drink in the classroom, don't have sex with someone in the woods, you know the basics right.

I have not been on Pinterest much the past few months, but I don't bother with workouts from there. I know my sister used to do a ton from Pinterest and liked them, but the past year I have exclusively used Body Fit by Amy (not many from her the past 7 months or so) and mainly use Fitness Blender. I have much more success if I am following a video rather than a printed off circuit. A few month ago I started using actual programs from Fitness Blender (pay a minimal price, they lay out workouts into a calendar for you--you can use the programs over and over). I finished an 8 week program right before Christmas and started a new 4 week program Monday. Even in doing their workouts for 8months now, I have not done many repeat workouts. They have that much variety. And for Body Fit by Amy, she went through a pregnancy and had a baby last year so she has workouts you can do while pregnant and she has a post partum series.
