So I am in the kitchen cleaning up the "let's make breakfast burritos" mess, and the geek squad is in the family room watching the Harry Potter marathon. I hear "hey Madre, we got any G2's left in the fridge?" So I grab the last one and ask who bellowed for the G2. Derek says it was him. He isn't my kid. I thought I was down to only my own kids in the house. I apparently don't even notice the squatters any more.

"Factory Made" (Science Channel) is on TV, in the background. Before the commercial break, I thought I heard the narrator say, "Next: What keeps vagina inflatables from going flat?" (It was actually "giant" inflatables).

00, I lied, I have been to potosi. Rememberd driving thru Fennimore today. Had a wedding there a few years ago with reception in potosi. Killed some time stopping at the brewery with dhs family.

00, how is the CSA thing working out this summer? Had my 1st tomato out of garden yesterday (YUM) and sweet corn should be ready next week probably.

Heh...well...we didn't renew. Was more of a decision of omission, than one of commission. The one we went with last year is about 12 miles away from us, but after we had already signed up, a farm 5 miles from us that was more agritouristy announced a CSA. We had kind of kicked around trying the closer one, and got busy with other things, didn't get signed up for either one.

The one we went with last year just put in a Tesla car charger, and was all PR about it, it was all over, but in reality, if you understand how it works, it's complete PR BS. They had a Tesla owner from CR come down for the announcement, and talk about how he can come down from CR and charge his car up while he shops...except in reality...their store is the size of my living room, so there's no way you spend any significant time there...but even if you somehow were able to spend an hour there...the charger would about give you enough charge to get home.

More critter action today. We were watching the groundhog couple and an errant rabbit munching on clover in the front "lawn" (actually mowed green space...not enough grass to qualify as a real lawn). Something attracted the attention of one of the groundhogs and it went shooting across the lawn and around the corner toward the burn pile. We moved to the side windows just in time to see him face off to the biggest tom turkey I've seen out there yet. After a brief stand-off, the turkey turned and bobbed its way into the underbrush. The groundhog glared for a moment, then wandered back out to the front and its mate.

Not sure why it didn't like the turkey playing in the burn pile. Is there some deep-seated animosity between the two species?

The groundhog really wanted the thanksgiving job.
