Random Thoughts IV

Babysat all three kids for the neighbor yesterday and feel like I can't move. Too old for two preschoolers and a baby. This time I had notice, she was putting her grandmother in assisted living. And she actually brought back a bottle of wine and some fancy cheese, which my kids ate before I crawled out of bed this morning.

I need to figure out best pain relief when I think everything aches. Advil? The bottle of wine at 10:00 a.m.? Usually my kids help but they had work all day. They did spot me a bit when I took the little ones to the pool. I am too old to give anyone a piggy back ride. I did have fun finger painting, haven't done that for a long time. They wanted to come over to play again this morning, I was kind of thinking maybe I need assisted living now.

Sorry for you Nickels, happy for you Pants.

There was no freaky. In fact the date got postponed again. I'm really frustrated at this point because I've avoided other tinder dates for this dude and he keeps rescheduling on me. Last night it was because of work (which a friend confirmed was legit) but after the fact he hasn't responded to any text messages. I told him that I was disappointed that the date was pushed back again but that I understood, and then nothing back. If that's how he deals with problems then this **** is going nowhere fast.

far from a dating expert here, but you shouldn't oneitis somebody that you are only on dating terms with, from friends stories it always ends up bad. Give him one more chance to reschedule and if he avoids it again, then **** it.

Another thing against you is that tinder is mostly for one night stands, tough to get something else from it.

Rulzzz, there is some good Facebook drama right now with a lady from Nevada calling firefighters and police force non heroes and something about a fireman dying around there and how they used resources to form a funeral procession?

Rhonda Appelgate on FB. She seems bright.
Oh dear lord she's a loon. And I shouldn't be, but I'm always surprised when people have no security settings on facebook

You should probably start planning your move to the Twin Cities. With your fair complexion the risk of future skin cancer would be much reduced in the northland. Omaha is, well, Omaha and Hawaii sun is likely to fry you like burnt toast. Plus the career opportunities and base of young professional guys your age* has to mega trump Omaha. We are talkin' Nebraska here. You could probably make crazy money and hang with the young alumni in Uptown. CG would come visit for sure.

*Could still include Pants since he will move back.

This message brought to by the ISU Minnesota Immigration Council on behalf of the 12,000 ISU alumni in the Twin Cities.

Man, pants...first you got WDSM tryin'a elbow in, now Boxster is making a play? When it comes to making out your will, you remember who's helping you out, and who's pushing you in fronta the bus, now.

Sharing is caring, right?

Granted, I have only dated my husband for the last 30 years, but I guess I wouldn't pass up an attractive opportunity elsewhere for cancellation guy if I was Nickels. I know nothing about "tinder" dates however.

Not on facebook, but a quick search reveals she's a real peach:

A Nevada woman has been cited for littering after police say she dumped horse manure on the street in front of Nevada City Hall.

Rhonda Applegate was cited last week. She faces a $385 fine.

Courts have been mixed in their rulings about designating miniature horses as livestock vs. companion animal pets. In the latest news, Rhonda Applegate of Nevada Iowa lost her challenge for a zoning variance for her miniature horse Putt-Putt.

Appearing with Diane Sawyer on Good Morning America on March 9, 2004, Ms. Applegate stated that "all ordinances need exceptions", and that "This is a common sense issue".

...

Upon losing her challenge, Applegate vowed to attend the local council meeting and start a petition to remove the mayor of Nevada, stating "Do not mess with my family". Ms. Applegate has now retained an Attorney and is challenging the rejection of her zoning variance request.

Before reading the rest of that sentence...for a second there, I was like whaaaa?!?!?!

Just a guess, CG did you have a cream cheese frosting on your wedding cake?

we did not! Though it would have been delicious.

I'm just looking at other recipes and a lot of these pesto-y parmesan dips have cream cheese too. I was wondering about it last night because sour cream on its own is a little thin and strong to me. My mom's taco dip is just sour cream and the seasonings....I started adding cream cheese and people love it. So do I. Just has a....more rounded? flavor? I don't know what the term is.

Basically thinking of doing this recipe and combining it with train's.

I'll probably just play around until I get something awful or something I like.

Yea, I probably could have worded that better, I just feel like a relic whose opinion on modern dating probably doesn't mean much because I don't understand it. Feel bad for my sons wading through it, I feel like it used to be a more simple process.

Well CG, my motto is cream cheese is always an improvement. Our top cake was just straight up vanilla, but had a side cake that was chocolate with raspberry filling and cream cheese frosting that was fabulous.

Heck, I feel like a relic, too, and I'm under 40. <Curmudgeon voice> Back in my day, we used to meet women the old fashioned way, by flirting with the girl runnin' the salad bar at foodservice and helping her change pop syrup when she was working the drinks area.

I kinda wonder how I'd have done if Tinder was available back in my day...my biggest problem was standing in front of a good looking woman, I'd get all "durr, durr"...

do you make sugar cookies at Christmas? Put it in the frosting.

Baker friend gave me that one. I think that's how the love got started. Well, probably the lasagna started it but now I'm like this makes everything better.

00, my kids should try that approach. They seem to always attract the ones that want help on their math homework and dump them when the class is over.

Why have I never thought of that? That is happening come December. I love to decorate the cookies, now they are gonna taste heavenly too.

takes a bit longer to set up, but it's amazing. I did half and half the first year, and by the 2nd cookie, I told DH the cream cheese ones were mine. Just add it until you taste it enough.
