sometimes I hate that I read so fast. Read a book I liked but I read all 300+ pages in a night. And then did the same thing with the next two in the series on subsequent nights. Need to read them slower so I can enjoy it more.

That's one issue I have never had. I generally gauge my book reading in years.

CG: You should come down to IC for the VB game Friday night.

Edit: Games, I guess...make a day of it. A&M in the afternoon, hawks at night.

I read a book a couple weeks ago just in bits each night before bed, so I remember more about it and enjoyed it more. This series, I really liked it, but I read it so fast it's like stuffing cheesecake in your face instead of eating it at normal speed. It makes it harder to enjoy it because you go through it so fast. Don't fully enjoy each situation/happening before you speed right into the next thing.

I actually thought about incorporating that into an eastern Iowa family visit roadtrip but then I realized that would put me in NE Iowa on the weekend of the ISU/Iowa football game and there is no way I am going to watch the game with a bunch of hawk fans.

OK, you got me then, you're at 3:15. But still...the volleyball team will not play closer to you than that this season. If you stayed overnight, you could catch 3 games in 2 days.

yeah we're actually about another 15-20 minutes or so beyond the east side of Madison. Makes it a real haul to head toward IL or IA - takes 30 minutes to get down around the lakes and "out" of town.

Yep. Nice drive, but slow.

friend was visiting me here once and was supposed to drive down to a town just east of DBQ to visit other friends. She got lost twice between my apt and the 90/94-Beltline interchange. I thought I was clear the 2nd phone call, take 12/14 to 151 and get off at the signs for Verona Road/Dodgeville.

Found out from the DBQ friend later that she saw the signs for 51 and got off there. Ended up in your neck of the woods and ended up taking 11 all the way over. She was a good hour plus late, lol.

She drove here on her own though, so I don't even know how she got so mixed up on the way back!
