When I used to golf (VERY infrequently) I noticed that my terrible game improved modestly when I got a couple of drinks in me - then if I ventured a couple of sips more past the sweet spot it quickly dropped off the cliff. I suppose relaxed is a good thing but too relaxed is another story.

Back in my young days, mid 20s, I was at the golf course and knew the manager decently. I had a whiskey/coke, acutally had a couple of them. Told the manager I was going to go walk 9, he said he would top off my drink and went straight jack daniels. By hole 4 I was seeing 2 golf balls and just quit, the swinging between them wasn't the best. Went in and ate supper, hung out a enough to be legal again and went home.

I knew a guy and his dad that had lifetime memberships at State Center. I used to play with them quite a bit. If his dad wasn't there we would play like 36 holes.

I had an experience in State Center years ago with a college buddy (he was from McCallsburg). Kinda like the old Uneasy Rider song from years ago.

Good golf clubs are expensive, but if you play a lot they're well worth it. I'm hitting Ping G25s right now, and they have made a lot of difference in both accuracy and distance. Also get fitted - another bit of money well spent.

Wife has Ping irons and Taylor Made woods. I have all King Cobras.

I should call the bank and see if they'll let me bring in my change. I probably have about $600 worth.

I'm not a golfer but that was how I played pool at the bars. I started out decent but not great, get better and start hitting some really good shots after hitting my sweet spot of inebriation and then get worse than I started as I kept drinking.
Not me, but a few of our friends had significant "beer curves" when we went out to Corner Pocket, Whiskey River or Welch Ave.

Cousin’s son in law just got called up to active duty. From the Kentucky area. I don’t watch the news much but that got me curious where he could be headed.

Unsure. Was going to meet them at their wedding reception next month. They got married during Covid but postponed the reception.
Aah my best friend's brother got sent to the twin cities with his guard unit. Was just thinking maybe going to Louisville or some other big city.

Oohhhh, didn’t think of that. Was thinking something was stirring up in the Middle East. Is that trial about over?

They're deliberating now. I have no idea how it's working outside of the twin cities. I suspect most states are probably being proactive.

Probably best to be ready. Better to have and not need than to have another King type trial mess.

This is how I am with bowling. I'm a sneaky good bowler at about 4-6 beers. Like 200 average. Sober I'm somehow like 20 points worse. Any drunker 40 points worse.

Holy **** I just watched the 2018 Robin Hood movie that Jamie Foxx was in and oh my God that is the worst thing I have ever seen.

My best rounds are my first three, then I start trying to correct problems before I know they are problems or not and mess it up royally. You love to have me on your team if you are in the heavy rough to the right. I have an unbelievable right draw with my rescue 4+ hybrid. Can nearly take it farther then my driver at times.
