Raised Football Expectations

I think out of our remaining opponents KState is quite easily the weakest.
- freshman qb who doesn't really scare me
- lots of freshman all over the field
- if we can stop their run our D should feast on these guys

I think we need to stick it to them this year, it's at home too which helps a lot.

Raised expectations is changing this 30 year fan. Forever I would be looking at the next three games and hoping we “get help” and were due for some luck and somehow the tiebreakers would go against us, etc. Instead, my mindset is more, beat all 3 because we are the better team when we play our best instead of hoping for help. And it’s hard to live there. :)

Baylor imo played like a team that was trying to correct lots of things and came out playing very crisp and upstart but this year they don't have the ability to hold up and once things got settled in, ISU was able to control it a bit better.

Aside from that first mess of a game and at OSU, ISU this year seems to have more 'get after it'ness that was missing last year at times when someone needed to make a play.

They very well could drop the next 3 though. I don't see a 'should win' type of match up with any of the remaining games.

That would definitely be a disappointing end to the season, not that I disagree. Starts with beating KSU. They absolutely have to slow down Vaughn and not let the FR QB beat them with his legs. Put some hits on those two and they will struggle to move the ball.

We need to spy their QB all game long and make him throw the ball. He does not make great great decisions. For Vaughn, our LB's just need to make tackles if he gets through the hole. He's incredibly shifty but is so small that once you hit him, he falls right down.
