Purdy in the NFL

I still think he gets drafted because of the value of his position and the lack of talent in this draft class.

But plays like what we saw to end the half are why he'll never play in the NFL unless there are injuries and he's called up from a practice squad.

Can't be making the silly amount of freshman mistakes as he's made as an upperclassmen

He does not get drafted. Fun college QB...and thrilled he came to Iowa State (seems like just yesterday I watched him announce as his high school streamed the event) but he is not getting drafted.
He doesn’t have the arm or fundamentals of an NFL QB. Plus his decision making a lot of the time leaves a lot to be desired. He will be in an NFL training camp next fall however.

Purdy can be a back up in the NFL, but if a team has to start him more than a game or two when the starter goes out, they are in trouble. Too many times when the opportunity is there to step up and led the team, he just could not do it.

He will make a camp. Whether or not someone takes a late round pick on him depends on how he does in workouts. His trouble is he’s kind of a tweener. His arm isn’t good enough to be a pure pocket passer. His legs aren’t good enough to be a run/pass guy.

He kind of reminds me of that guy from Hawaii a long time ago

No idea but I wonder if the oline and play calling hurt his performance? If the NFL thinks it has hurt him he may get a undrafted free agent deal if not coaching may be in his future.

Too short. No accuracy past 15 yards. Great representative of Iowa State. High character kid. Smart. Dedicated. Loyal. Would hope he'd marry my daughter.

He was the most accurate QB in CFB on throws over 20 yards according to PFF a few weeks ago

I think he would be a valuable practice squad QB. Not an insult. He doesn't have NFL size and arm strength, but he can emulate the mobile, scrambling QBs in the league.

IMO...
