When you look over the course of the last 10-15 years the grass lots really haven't been closed very many times. We had one season that was pretty rough but other than that it's been pretty much fine.
Agree but that 1 year sucked because they were open for 2 games then closed the rest of the season. The last game they were open was the Iowa game we had the rain delays with and they were a mess getting out of. They sit in low lying areas with poor drainage. After CyTown is complete hoping that maybe they consider some long term improvements for the grass lots that maybe includes some better drainage and bringing the grade up a little so they don't sit wet. We don't need to pave them but the G4 and G4 lots have a ridge that goes down the middle that if they were to get more of a level grade or less of a slope it would add a lot more parking spots there and hopefully solve some of the wet spots they have to occasionally close and lose spots as well. There is a creek that runs there that could run some drainage tile to to help as well. G8 sits a little low too and have seen good chunks of that lot closed due to mud as well. It would be a bit of an investment but it's not nearly as costly as it would be to pave them all vs just add some basic tile drainage and fix the grade in the lots that would not only add more parking but help keep them open during some wet periods.
