With MSU being one of three teams ranked higher than Iowa State, a loss here for them would be relevant (at least to people like me who want to see our meaningless ranking improve).

#3 tomorrow is still possible if the Friars pull this off.

I wouldn't be surprised if this game went either way. Kris Dunn might be the best player in CBB.

Providence has looked good when I've seen them this season, so far. Beat Arizona, if they get MSU, too — they ought to be a top 15 team, at least (would be 7-0).

There was a pretty decent points gap last week between MSU and ISU (about the same as between 4th and 10th). Dunno if thatd be made up. Could get us up to 4th in the coaches though.

I think you're overestimating how many people will have chosen to vote before MSU plays a game against a NPOY contender.

If there's anything ive learned the past few years, its that there are a lot of bad voters out there.
