-TCU best team they played in the last 5-6 years
-Stated team was emotionally drained, tank on E
-Numbing emotions responsible for blowout loss, and great opponent
-More statements about greatness of TCU
-Stated he failed the kids by not being prepared
-Stated the team played great offense for last 6 years prior to this year
-Indicated you cannot win with this much inconsistency
-Lots of statements about how record is where we are, lots of soul searching needed, no knee jerk reactions
-Stated large turnover in players possibly responsible, need time to grow in a lot of ways
I'm disappointed in this response. He said a ton of you can understand Campbell speak.
1. TCU was good, pretty straightforward
2. Team was done, again straightforward
3. See number 2.
4. See number 2&3.
5. I was done
6. Tom Manning with decent to good talent isn’t a bad offensive coordinator.
7. Offensive line and special teams sucked.
8. I’m not happy about our record, I am gonna take a professional approach and get this fixed.
9. Need to return to our roots, that being said we did have to replace a ton of talent and the new talent wasn’t ready.
There it is, any questions?
I'm disappointed in this response.
Not really, less usage of the following though:Sorry to disappoint you, he actually said more than usual here.
I guess when a head coach is getting kicked around I will continue. I watched Campbell's post game last week, which caused me to not watch the post TCU. Post Okie State he had on his dirty black ball cap and black attire (has he ever worn ISU colors?). The cap pulled down over his eyes and looking down 90% of the time, talking with is face down. Then had his players meet the media too. They sat and faced the cameras and looked the reporters in the eyes. This was a disappointment seeing Campbell represent himself in this way. Hey, I get it that he's disappointed in a season of hard knocks, but he's the head coach, the leader. He needs to face the cameras like his players are expected to and continue to show some professionalism. It's not like he's a volunteer. Not really, less usage of the following though:
1. Man
2. Inconsistencies
3. Execution
4. I don't know
I guess you are right he did say a lot more than usual.
