I, for one, missed the band playing "For I, For S, For Ever" after point after attempts on Saturday. I have made it my mission over the last five plus years to learn the words and sing it every time it's played. I can't find the history right now, but my memory says it was written by Meredith Wilson. Instead of reviving an ancient thread in a different forum, I'm posting my protest here. Down with loud music over the sound system, up with For I, For S, For Ever!

Old thread with lyrics: https://cyclonefanatic.com/forum/threads/for-i-for-s-lyrics.20545/

Yep, Meredith Wilson. Here is an old Iowa State Daily article that talks about it.

ISU Fights, Go Cyclones Go, For I For S Forever, Rise Sons of Iowa State…

Interestingly the band didn’t really play Rise, Sons of Iowa State until the last 10 years or so; they didn’t play it during the McCarney/Chizik/Rhoads era.

I love the words to “go cyclones go.” Those being.. “don’t know the words!”

We played all those all the time when I was in the band in the 90’s. Rise Sons was a staple of every pregame performance.

GO-GO-GO, GO, GO!

For I For S has been played after PAT's/fg's for as long as I can remember....I was pretty disappointed they decided to blast music right after each PAT this past weekend.
