Plumber Suggestions - Ankeny

Bumping for any new plumber suggestions
I know title is Ankeny but looking for WDM area if it matters

We need to replace our outdoor faucets and possibly add one
Do you have any plumbing experience? That’s not a tough thing to do assuming you don’t have to tear into ceilings/finished space.

I have had great luck with Herr Plumbing. They just finished a bathroom project, but have also helped me other times with broken things.

I’ll YouTube most home repairs and can usually figure it out, but I’m terrified to touch anything related to water haha

Turn the water off to the house (unless you're lucky and cut shut off a portion of the house or a specific fixture). Open the lowest faucet in the house and let it all drain. Twist off the spigot. Replace.

Or most them are easily rebuildable depending on what's wrong with them. Most of the time leaks are easy. In that case, do the same steps to drain the water out of the house, take it apart and put it back together. Lots of youtube videos on it.

Or find someone who moonlights and spend a fraction of money.

You can do it. It's either than you think. Test it, if it leaks, turn it off and retry. Way different and easier than electrical, you won't die atleast.

I’ll second this especially if you have basement access to them. 99 percent of them are threaded not soldered, so it’s just unthreading them and threading a new one on with some tape.

I won't speak to the adding a faucet...but if it is just leaky...it might be as simple as changing the washer in the "inset"...simple. Plenty of videos out there...but if you are going to replace the entire thing...that is slightly more difficult but still doable!

Todds Plumbing (Bondurant/Ankeny) did a great job on my basement bathroom install. Had to install a **** pump and everything.
