Think everyone is being a little too sensitive on the subject. If you listen to what he said, it was 4.5 hours he’ll never get back “for 2 matches.” I wasn’t too excited about our participation numbers at a home tournament either.

Fact is …. JP should not speak in public if he can’t control what comes out of his mouth. So much of it is cringeworthy and stupid.

With that being said…. I don’t blame him one bit for not investing a bunch of money into sports that lose money. Yes, it sucks, but he is running a business.

It's fine if Pollard isn't a fan of wrestling, but you can't say that in an interview that the public is listening to. He'd never say that about XC, even though I can guarantee you a much larger portion of Iowa State fans would rather watch a wrestling dual than an entire XC meet...

More like even half a XC meet.
