i normally go to games but my daughter had a soccer game at the same time. So it was my first game watching us play in a big time football game at the new Jack. Could not believe how legit it looks on tv and how live the crowd seemed. I finally see a light at the end of the tunnel with Iowa State football. So impressed.

There was a cyclone power chant during a review maybe, I don’t remember, but it was the best chant I have ever heard in that stadium. There was no background noise, it was deafening, and it lasted for a good minute to minute and a half. I love JTS.

Best I've seen it. Even close games against TOE didn't come close. Only gripe continues to be the halftime exit...place was too quiet at the start and didn't get going until about halfway into the 3rd quarter. C'mon folks...sneak the booze into the game so you don't have to go out to the car at halftime...been doing it since 1981. Didn't really need it at this game...did need it at countless others before when the score was like 0-35 at half.

Very noticeable. Only gripe about the crowd which was otherwise PERFECT. If the AD needs more money to pay Campbell, sell beer in JTS/Hilton and get rid of the re-entry policy.

After both interceptions I thought the crowd might just toss its cookies. Hoping it was crazy loud on the field. Upper decks lose some of that roar experience.

That was easily the most animated crowd I've ever seen at JTS, as well as the most excited postgame tailgate. Just a fantastic day overall.
I think the key was that the crowd was almost all Cyclone fans. Bigger crowds for Hawkeye and Panther games, but lots of their fans. That Cyclone Power chant gave me chills yesterday, and not from the cold. Best home crowd atmosphere I can ever remember!

Does anyone know exactly when this took place? I remember it vividly but can't remember when it happened. Going to replay on DVR if I can find it.

I was sitting in the upper deck and wondering what it sounded like on TV, got home and immediately looked for highlights. You could absolutely hear the roar. Everyone was having fun, there was a bit of a lull in the first 5 min. of the third quarter, but otherwise it was a great environment!

A guy sitting about three rows behind us started a "Let's Go State" chant at one point during the second half. The rest of us joined in almost immediately, and after about four rounds, the cheerleaders caught on and started holding up their signs. Kind of cool when the crowd is actually ahead of the cheerleaders on cheering. :)

The noise level was high (we were in the 5th row of an upper deck section) but pretty well sustained when it needed to be. I was particularly impressed with the number of people STILL in the stands at the end of the game...it was like OSU in 2011; nobody left because:
