Ouch. Penn State 2027 Recruiting Decline?

Wait is this sarcasm or are we calling 3-6 including some baffling weirdness in that game pretty good?

Thankfully it didn't define CMC's time but outside of eeking out some ugly wins recently it was not good.
Was waiting for someone to bring facts to bear against that crazy assertion.

You know for as many people that seemed sad when he left, a lot like to rip on him now. Campbell was not perfect, but he put ISU into more games and won more of them than any coach we have ever had. If Rogers does as well, we will all be talking what a great coach he is.
I was fine with him leaving before I remembered how ****** college football is and forgot that he'd be taking every single player that I cheered for with him. Now I'm just hoping for a little schadenfreude towards both him and those players.

That is fair, I had no problem with him leaving, most people would also, but taking so many of our players with him, really soured me about the process. He will do fine at PSU, we are remembering the goofs the offensive had through the Campbell years, but its funny how we are forgetting the games when the defense did not bother to start playing until halftime.

His time at PSU will come down how he does against the top ranked teams, not beating #15 whoever, that is expected there, its how do you do against Oregon, Ohio State or some other topped ranked team. Last year people had Penn State as one of the favorites to win the championship and they went 7-5 or so.
I was bothered for like 2 hours when he left with the way that Friday evening went down, after that I honestly didn’t care. What bothered me more was how fast the players turned heel and started slamming Iowa State, and the money the fans were paying to support their “salaries”. That part left a pretty bad taste in my mouth. After that I pretty much soured on anything outside of ISU.

Pedo State’s schedule is bad enough, coupled with the B1G bias to get them into the playoff but we’ll see. I predict he’ll be fired after a few years for the same reasons they fired Franklin.

When was this and what specifically was said?

Not ripping on him. Loved having him as our coach. But he did oversell our O-line a lot and that loss at Colorado seemed like he almost had one foot out the door. I could root for him if he had gone to several different schools. Penn St is not one of those schools

I can't say I will be rooting for them, but will be interested in how they do. It was not him talking about the Oline, but the guy that was coaching them. We had a decent line last year, not great but better than most in the past.

I can’t remember details, but around the time that all of the transfer announcements happened that Brahmer had talked about how the grass was greener at Penn State and Jeremiah Cooper had said something about the pay, but that’s been so long ago now I may be misremembering details

I really don't give a flying f about high school recruiting anymore. Making the jump from hight school to college is like making the jump from college to pro. Could be Zach Wilson drafted 2nd overall or Tom Brady drafted in the 6th round.
Also anymore roster success depends on the portal more than anything.
