Serious question, why didn’t Wisconsin offer Hunter? He got one from NW so it couldn’t have been grades. Doesn’t make sense why they wouldn’t offer an in-state kid that’s nearly a 5 star.
I don't know the answer but I did just read a few articles on him. Holy cow, the kid lost both of his parents when he was young. That sucks. Guessing he knows a little about fighting thru adversity.
IIRC it boiled down to style of play.

Really solid pickup and another guy that fits the mood they are looking for. If nothing else, the team should compete hard next year. Hope Hinson is healthy.
So we had Kalscheur commit today, and we had Hunter reconfirm his commitment. See why we should just wait and see what TJ can do?
I've seen some say it's a system thing and that may be, but WI under Gard has been more free flowing than what they're known for. Granted that's not saying much I guess but there's more freedom there.
That said Gard has had some weird recruiting stuff I think.
It’s a classic defensive style of basketball. Long shot clocks in defense and long shot clocks on offense.
If Groves comes I could legit see us in some sort of post season tournament. Probably not the good one, but something is better than 2-22. With Hinson back our lineup would be

Which is like, actually quite solid with a couple spots left as well
Ish. They've been more prone to get out and run a bit and quicker shots under Gard than the Bo Ryan/Bennett style.
Now, to update one more time, we have had two players commit today, and a four star point guard reconfirm his commitment. This is why we wait and give TJ some time to prove what he can do.
