OSU postgame overreaction thread

Is this a serious post? You know it will be March and we still have only lost 1 game the entire season with our entire team right?

We've been hovering around the Top 10 all year, went toe to toe with Auburn, should have won at Arizona who rarely loses at home, and still one of only 9 teams that have top 30 offensive and defensive metrics . All that being said, you're totally fine with just beating some Horizon team in the 1st round and calling it good?
I mean I'm just trying to be realistic. Of course I would love to win a natty!!! And we have played close with all those teams but lost them all. If we have another close game in the tournament in round 2 it seems more likely than not that we would lose that game. And the metrics were simply gamed by beating up on highschool squads, as Blum himself has said.

Sarcasm? Lol

I'm not sure if this is serious either, but have you ever heard the terms "Adjusted" Defensive Efficiency? Or "Adjusted" Offensive Efficiency?

It's adjusted based on the strength of you opponent. So It doesn't matter if we shut down Jackson St quite like you think it does. Metrics still show we are Sweet 16 floor.

I’ll start out by saying I very much so want to see Iowa State make an Elite 8 or go further, but some people are on here are not only acting like TJ has been here for 10 years and is stalling, but they’re also acting like this season is over already.
They showed what Houston has done the last several years on the broadcast when we played them. One final four, one elite eight and a few sweet sixteens. Nothing is guaranteed in the tourney. I am always just wanting to at least get to the sweet sixteen and anything beyond that is great. If you keep getting there you'll eventually break through

I definitely did not say that.

I wish we had BRE on this year's team. We miss his defense and toughness

He wasn't called BRE for no reason and those that questioned why he played didn't see what he was doing.

Even if things weren't going well for ISU or if he was outmanned or out of position, he played with such an urgency and chaos that it could at least make someone in the lane uncomfortable with the ball. And that seemed to spread to the team.

Talent-wise he seemed pretty quick to get to spaces and seemed to be very good at communicating.

The cagey-ness and communication seem to be missing with this group.

You're getting some grief here, but I don't think you're that far off on the first part.

We're much closer to last year's ISU team than we are to this year's Auburn. Said it in another thread, but there's a reason that ISU fans are still clinging to that Maui game long after Auburn has moved on.

We probably aren't as bad as the team that just got rolled by a crappy OSU team. But at this point in the season, with three games left, we are who we are. And if we keep turning the ball over at this clip and stay marred in this disjointed offense, an early exit is just as probable as a deep run.
