On Running shoes

Most of these shoes don't fit me in the toe box. Turns out I was born with a C shaped foot that plays hell with my foot impact.

Switched over to Altra running and a Merrell summer trail shoe just to have comfort.

I'd give the Altra a decent, but not great grade overall. Topo is another wide toe box brand. Those seemed low quality and stiff.

Merrell winter shoes and this hiking deal are working well.

i usually get the previous generation with weird colors from amazon. try to use 2 shoes while training for long distances to help spread the wear of them. ive only gotten brooks and saurcony in the past.

yeah I have three pair of Cloudmonsters actually. insanely amazing

When I play golf, I walk about 90% of the time. I've seen some golfers get the On trail hiking shoes for it. I'm hoping they make a pair soon otherwise I'll be buying the trail hiking shoes to replace my Air Max 90's that have a lot of miles on them.

I have, I think, 8 pair of On shoes of various kinds. I have a problem.

I trained for and did an Ironman in '16 in Hoka Clifton's with zero foot issues. Haven't bothered to try anything else since. Don't fix what ain't broke.

I'm addicted to mine. Wore them around work to break them in before logging miles on them and may have to get a second pair just for work now.

I agree Brooks and Asics are great running shoes. I might go back to Asics this next round as I have fond memories.

yeah the first pair i got about 7 years ago i started using as yard work shoes thinking they'd kind of go south and they just haven't. still holding up (albeit kinda gross and dirty) but they're still comfy.
