Nope its not just you. I just graduated last May and am extremely embarrassed. There is a big difference between raging responsibly and being idiots.
Seems like Veishea is earlier this year than normal which means more partying as not as close to finals, if its later in April it means less partying thus more students would be staying in and studying for finals.
Lots of drunk peeps amped up in one place is really not a great thing. I hope and pray everyone survives.
I'm one sad and embarrassed Cyclone fan right now. This situation unfortunately smothers all of the great things that have had people talking about for the past month with our basketball team. Just terribly sad.

But later also means nicer weather, means more people out and wanting to stay out. Just happens to be warm this week, and they are having issues.
I knew Ejim was a troublemaker flipping cars and taking poles down. This nothing to do with the basketball team and takes nothing away from the great season.....
Friend just tweeted that he saw most of the bball team on Welch during. Not that it matters though.
Sounds like things have settled down for now. Crowd dispersed without having to escalate force.

It's cool to be on Welch. Just don't destroy ****. And avoid the mob. Dear God, avoid the mob. It just encourages ****** behavior when people think thousands are watching.
Ames PD was partially responsible for the 2004 riots. They closed every bar at virtually the same time IIRC. They had an angry mob in the street mad the bars were shut down and just wreaked havoc.
Dang was kind of interested to listen to the cops going in with year gas and riot gear. Until tomorrow I guess!
My facebook is a **** ton of friends saying they're embarrassed for the actions tonight of their fellow peers. And then one person that says its awesome.
