***Official Thon Maker Recruitment Thread***

We aren't going to get him, but if we did - it would be a miracle. But hey, Arizona State has offered him so why not? For whoever spotted him at the game yesterday - did it look like he was enjoying himself or even paying attention? LOL
He looks happy in this picture FWIW

I don't know guys.

Do we really want Thon Maker and Emmanual Malou both playing for us next year?

Wouldn't that make us TOO good?

That would be awesome..too bad Burton is not even close to a SG. But Thomas or Cooke in that lineup would be sick.
He's far closer to a SG than anything else. He just has an elite handle and can slash. Though in his case the "S" would be scoring more than shooting.

Does Burton really have an elite handle? Elite athleticism for sure but I'm not sold on the handle part. I think he's more of a SF but there isn't that much difference between SF & SG in our system IMO

Yes he has an elite handle equal to Cooke and Morris. He is a SF, but he's more of a 2-3 SF than a 3-4 SF.

At the 1:50 mark

He has an elite handle in Cap City yeah. But I'm just not sure whether that will translate to B12 play.

and he'd be wise to really develop his outside shot and handle as its his best chance at a long pro career at any level of pro ball. I'd love to see him playing next to Monte sometimes at the 2 in a similar way that Monte and Kane played together at the end of that year, although obviously Monte much better now.

With our roster he'll probably get more minutes at 3, but we could be a huge physically dominant team when he plays the 2 with Nader-Niang-McKay .

In that situation I'd really see Nader at the 2. Not that numbers really matter but he already has an outside shot. And has a good handle as well.

He's a PF in a SG's body.
He is definitely not a PF and his wingspan is from the shoulders which means he can defend on the perimeter better than inside the paint by clogging passing lanes. He's the same height as Naz. His muscle may allow him to grab offensive rebounds, but it doesn't make him a PF. He's a SF same as Nader although Nader can play inside a bit better.
