Re: Official Post-game Thread!

Does this make Rhoads the winingest first year coach for ISU?

According to the papers Rhodes is the first rookie ISU coach to have a winning season since George F. Veenker (1931).

7 wins in 13 games translates to a .538 winning percentage for Paul Rhoads. That makes him the winningest ISU football coach since Charles Mayser won 21 of his 34 games between 1915 and 1919 (mostly during WW1). Of the coaches in the 'modern era' (say sometime after WWII), Only Rhoads, and Earle Bruce (.529) have records over .500.

I suppose asking for another 5 win improvement over the previous year's win record is too much to ask for next season? (12-0)

GREAT WIN!!!I agree that the NFL Network Halftime and post game coverage sucked (the tv guys also kept showing the Minnesota cheerleaders for some reason), but I thought Burmeister (sp?) and the other guy did a great job. I'm sorry I didn't catch the guy's name working with Burmeister. Both provided pretty good insight (no pun intended) to the game, the teams and the players.

Yeah I actually really enjoyed the commentators. The NFL network, for some reason, kept showing lots of NFL related coverage. Go figure.

I thought the actual production was great though.
