We’ll, that’s sobering…
JR has recruited a good class, transfers, freshmen. Give them a chance.

You didn't really think that we were going to compete monetarily with the B1G, SEC and upper quarter of the ACC and B12 did you?

It is what it is, look at it as such. We will have to do similarly to what Campbell did, recruit smartly, get the recruits we want to fit our system and develope them.

Transfer rankings are worthless. I don't know why anyone pays attention to them. You think On3 or 247 "scouts" are deeply analyzing film for 5,000 players in 2-3 weeks to accurately assess their ability? NFL scouts can't even do that with a couple hundred players when they have a year to do it.
We expect precise ranking scores here on CF. We will not back down.

Spot on! Jimmy Rogers has to use the same formula as CMC, which is player development and culture fits. I'm confident that Rogers will embrace this approach and have a high level of success in the Big 12.

Someone (sorry, I'm not sure who) asked recently how JR's transfer class, or class in general, ranks with other conference members. I don't know yet. I'll just post this (has Okla State and KSU) mentioned, otherwise compares new coaches nationally.
What a lame analysis...If you are B1G or SEC you automatically get an A, except poor Michigan State. They don't even say what team they are talking about for some of these coaches that are not in the SEC/B1G. ( No idea who Bob Chesney is or who he is now coaching)

This excerpt will tell you all you need to know about the mindset of the author: "Generally, loading a Big Ten roster with Big 12 players is not a recipe for conference championship contention. But if Campbell maximizes his roster like he did at his previous stop, these additions will not look out of place against tougher competition."

Seems overkill on TE's, but that's just my opinion
3 of the guys listed are walk-ons. So will be curious if they play outside ST.

But if Roehl runs some Ben Johnson/Detroit schemes, there would be 3 TE's on the field. So need about the same # scholarships as WR position.

Will also be curious if some of the TE's also play FB.

Amazing how Rogers and staff completely rebuilt the roster in 40 days!

Maybe the Iowa State roster is incorrect. I thought both guys would be seniors.

Both have medical years available to them.

Might just be a change in the way coaching staffs list eligibility. Typically we’d previously see them listed as Seniors even if they could take a medical year, like Bacon this past season. Listed as a senior all year when in reality everyone knew he had one more year.

Rogers had to get all the coaches and admin staff. Then go get players. I don't even know how you can make that happen this quickly. How do you know all these players? Or if you don't know them, hey, you want to come play for this basically all new team and all new coaches with no track record whatsoever? Plus, you're not just grabbing kids for a scholarship, each one you have to negotiate with. More than amazing, a freakin miracle!!!

Campbell would have been peeing himself in the coaches parking lot, looking for help from H.
