***Official portal tracker thread***

Our receivers were garbage last year. I thought there were maybe 5-6 guys total he'd take and use $$ and the Penn State name to get decent players. I was not expecting this. Half the guys he took I didn't even care if they came back here.
Kind of agree. There where a couple guys that would look good for 10 minutes and then flat drop a good pass. Pretty frustrating.

Call it “home town discount” or something else, it’s common knowledge Campbell’s guys could have made more in the portal. You think Lipsey is at national PG average? If you think we’re paying our players what TT, PSU and Ohio State is, I can’t help you.

I never said anyone is playing for free. Don’t put words in my mouth. CJR is doing great, but his approach backs up my point. Those kids are getting paid less than the national average because of age, skill set and experience.
You don't know what Lipsey or anyone else makes and neither do I. Milan, JJ and Lipsey are making a lot and apparently what we're paying them is enough to keep them here which is all that really matters. I don't give 2 ***** if we don't pay as much as Ohio St. I never said we did and the majority of college teams don't/can't either.

And JR's signees don't back up your point at all. All the ******** some were doing claiming all he'd sign would be Rudy types from FCS, G5, or Div 2 has been completely blown out of the water.

He's signing good players from all over, including players from other P-4 schools who all had other options. I seriously doubt Raynor's being paid on the cheap. That guy's been getting P-4 offers every year he's played at Arky St.

There's no way he's getting this current portal haul without offering attractive NIL. And he's not finished. More good players are on the way.

Can't see why he'd go to PSU to play behind Brahmer & Burkle plus compete with any holdovers. He & Fortenberry would be our top 2 & I'm sure we are going with multiple TE formations given our new coaches.
Question is if Burkle can go this year.

Rogers wouldn't intentionally kill the tradition. Our returning roster is young and few in number. They may not even have the song memorized. If we struggle to win games, they won't get any practice. Who's going to enforce it?
Two funny things about this.

01. I am a Cyclone Alum from the bad old Walden days. I don't even know the Fight Song by heart, and my Cyclone Cradle to Grave wife (ISU Alum too) gives me hell about that! I do know the melody though, and I LOVE CY!

02. In 1994, when ISU went 0-10-1, the 1 was a tie @ Oklahoma State. Somebody from the locker room said that they wanted to sing the fight song, but most of the players couldn't remember it since it had been so long since they won a game! So, it was a sing-hum-sing experience. They lacked the words, but the joy was there for the half-win. :)

FWIW, I think the lads will sing the Fight Song more than half of the games this year including the Bowl Victory!

Let's Go State!

Rough count, ~64 players, with 10 2025 ISU players undeclared, could bring that count to ~74.

Potentially only need ~10 more scholarship players if we are maxing out at 85, as we did last year. Seems WR is the position of most need, by count.

Several years ago the Oregon Ducks put up a 80-100 foot ad on the side of a building in Oakland, CA (Oakland borders Berkeley, where Cal is located).

To add insult to injury I believe it was a “Run LMJ” LaMichael James Heisman ad. This was a couple blocks from the Golden State practice facility, and back when “Run TMC” was synonymous with the golden era of Warriors basketball.

Spending money to troll is a worthy endeavor.
Do you remember the Joey Harrington Billboard in Times Square back in 2001? Oregon has been pimping the Ducks nation wide for a quarter of century with no payoff yet. Please, Yahweh, don't let Oregon win the NC and get out of the desert!
