***Official portal tracker thread***

Pretty sure, both Brock and Rocco come from "pretty decent" family wealth. Not "generational" but beyond comfortable.
Brock has deservedly so, on his own, created "generational wealth."

Rocco...not the next "Mr Irrelevant."
True. But even if Rocco only makes $2.5 million playing college football…you can make that work for life if you want to. Certainly until he gets his inheritance.

Kind of wish he had left now. If there is one position on the team that should bleed cardinal and gold, it’s the QB.

There won’t be a player we could lose that I’ll miss more than Hansen, but there won’t be one I’m more frustrated with than Rocco. As I said before, he should have rallied that team to play in the bowl game. He does that…and owns what he’s doing (have a press conference to say he did just that but feels it’s timed to move on), I don’t think I’d have a problem with it.
I agree with you but its not the 90s anymore. Might as well accept the change. With that being said I wouldn't mind taking all the money and giving it to the wrestling team.

It's like some of you have never seen a coaching change before...
To be fair, Campbell was at ISU for a decade and traditionally a significant percentage of the fanbase comes into it through enrollment.

So I’d be curious how many people here literally haven’t been through a football coaching change?

But also, it was a different era when Rhoads was fired. Can’t imagine Lazard stays today (assuming he would have been a Cyclone in the first place).

He is absolutely going to win a national championship, and probably in year 3. If for no other reason than the ISU curse. Hell, Chizik lucked into one with Scam Newton.
I don’t think so…he’s building them with our coaches and players.

He said he couldn’t do it here…how is over paying our old staff and players going to help?

Hopefully Rogers does a better job of adjusting to the resources available at his new place of employment.

Use it or lose it with the $14M. You can’t fit 14K undersized midwestern kids on your roster.

If Rocco makes 2.5 million during his college career... just OUCH, Ames-beyond.
Give me Brock, 8 days a week.
BP is a value-proven NFL commodity.
Rocco? Decent college commodity, at best.

I’m guessing he’s not going to recruit ISU level players after this year. Which unless you’re a senior transferring to PSU, is a foolish move. I’m guessing the Bandauer’s and other kid’s from the class are being sold a bill of goods out of desperation to cobble a class together.

The offense fit the framework that CMC wanted. I agree he was probably unqualified. I'd rather give him a year to figure things out and keep 90% of our starters. Jamie made the choice he thought was best and we'll see. Another big part of the frustration is Jamie's a lone wolf and moved fast. People who donate money to the program want to be tied in with decision making. Feathers were ruffled for sure.
The only thing worse than losing your HC as a mid level program…is having a bunch of people putting their inputs into a search that now drags out for weeks.

We lose everyone. Have no time to get a coach established or a staff announced as we go into the portal.

An absolute disaster for a program.

Hansen strikes me as a damn good college rb.
If I recall right, some here have compared him to a "poor man's" Christian McCafferty.
I'll fully agree with the "poor" end of the equation.
Comparing the two, redefines ludicrous.
Similar power running. It all ends there.

Brock’s family sell hot tubs…I think they’re working middle class.

Funny that Brock made less than Rocco until this year.

Same size and running style as former Packer James Starks. That's my comp lol.

I'd say, "upper middle class+."

Brock has more than proven his worth in the Big Leagues.
Rocco hasn't proven his qb worth at the college level.
Biggest step up for a college level "great" qb, redefines talent+.

For anybody here that watched Brock toss 5 tds vs Indy?
Ask yourself. Will NFL Rocco ever throw 5 tds vs any NFL team?
Lmfao....

With all this money you’d think he’d get some JR/SR overachievers from ‘lesser programs’ that are field ready. Very few 3 star OL are game-day ready as FR.

I thought I’d always appreciate MC…he’s only 2? weeks out and already made me see the error of my beliefs.

I really want to see him crash and burn at pedo state.

It is possible, and perhaps even healthy, to care about Iowa State’s history and greatly appreciate Campbell’s outsized role in it while not giving a flying **** about his future successes elsewhere.

You can’t have a class completely void of FR though. As rich as these schools are they can’t completely abandon all development and portal shop. Someone like Bandauer and Williams are good bets that will become at least decent. Kase Evans makes zero sense. I wasn’t even sure he’d see the field at ISU and they already have a stud prospect at that position.
