That tells me everything I need to know about you.I'm not disappointed, I'll support the Cyclones and the guys who are here. Once you transfer away then I wish you failure.

Until the season started. If he were ready for a hc job he would have gotten one this offseason. That's not how CMC ran his program. It was built on doing things the right way. All Pollard had to do was hire Mouser and the wheels wouldn't have fallen off.
Is it better for the kid to have that or tell him he has a lot to work on, honor his commitment and then when he’s there tell him he probably will never see the field? What really rubbed him and his family the wrong way was how blunt it was. No details, no "here are some things you should work on as a young player", no apology, nothing. Basically "we want to go a different direction and we'll email you the papers to sign".
I agree, not a great look.
I'd argue being the OC at a blue blood program with 30 mil a year to spend might be more desirable than being the HC at Iowa State.Mouser is nowhere near ready for that job. It would have been the Wayne Morgan approach. How did that work?
Does that go for assistant coaches as well? Tyler Roehl comes to mind, he left - did you wish him failure. Now that he’s back???I'm not disappointed, I'll support the Cyclones and the guys who are here. Once you transfer away then I wish you failure.
He has gotten head coaching offers. Not power 5 but group of 5. Not surprised you didn't know that.Until the season started. If he were ready for a hc job he would have gotten one this offseason.
You give the kid a chance and honor his commitment. Not doing so is unheard of in football. Even in this landscape. Is it better for the kid to have that or tell him he has a lot to work on, honor his commitment and then when he’s there tell him he probably will never see the field?
Honestly I would prefer that if it was my kid.
Look at the coaching carousel. There are coordinators from better programs than ISU that took over programs in a lot worse shape than ISU.I'd argue being the OC at a blue blood program with 30 mil a year to spend might be more desirable than being the HC at Iowa State.
Uuummmmmm……..did you express this when Campbell pulled offers?**** that.
I’m not naive to the reality of college football today, but this is just classless behavior.
I hope kids are sharing these stories far and wide and the programs doing a lot of this ******* crater and the staff end up out on their asses.
If that’s ISU, so be it.
Unheard of???You give the kid a chance and honor his commitment. Not doing so is unheard of in football. Even in this landscape.
Campbell didn't pull offers after they signed the letter of intent. Only time I can remember him pulling an offer was over discipline issues.Uuummmmmm……..did you express this when Campbell pulled offers?
TJ did this when he took over the BB job and it's turned out pretty well. People were pissed when he ran off Bolton and a few others. If s coach doesn't believe in you the that player either had to win over the coach or move on.**** that.

Honestly, I wasn’t aware of it.Uuummmmmm……..did you express this when Campbell pulled offers?
You're literally on here clamoring that its ok to do sketchy s**t to make room for Washington State's 75th ranked recruiting class. Eff that.Unheard of???
Last I checked ISU isn’t a group of 5 job. I am surprised you didn’t know that.He has gotten head coaching offers. Not power 5 but group of 5. Not surprised you didn't know that.
You think all those kids left or didn’t show up for a season just decided to walk away?Honestly, I wasn’t aware of it.
Presumably he didn’t pull offers because of a different direction. But if he pulled offers from someone committed because they found someone better? **** him.
I did ******* hate the rumors I heard about Hoiberg essentially managing kids out.
Have a frank conversation about what a kid needs to do to succeed? Sure.
I may be a bit old-school here, but I absolutely believe a coach has a responsibility to the athletes. Unless they earnestly help the kids on their team make an informed decision that is best for them they’re not acting with integrity.
My understanding is that this is what TJ does. If not, **** him too.

No, I'm not surprised you don't know how to read.Last I checked ISU isn’t a group of 5 job. I am surprised you didn’t know that.
So I remember people being upset Bolton left, but I thought it was a Bolton not liking what he was told was expected of him?TJ did this when he took over the BB job and it's turned out pretty well. People were pissed when he ran off Bolton and a few others. If s coach doesn't believe in you the that player either had to win over the coach or move on.
