***Official ISU vs Texas Meltdown Thread***

Hutchinson made a horrible decision to jump, but he’s our best player and has been consistently our gem. The dude is going to go down in ISU history as one of our top 10 receivers, possibly top 5. He made a few ridiculous jumping and turning around catches that kept us alive on 4th down. It’s not his fault we lost.

Also, **** the refs. They need to stop being Texas’ cuck.

Seriously though, what is up with the X drops? Two missed TDs against KU and KSU and then the drop on 4th last week, and that’s all before you factor in the gimme TD today

He caught a lot of ******* important balls today too.

For every person ******** about X on here, I'd bet there are 2 that are sending emails/tweets/DM's to him. That's the kind of crap that Campbell called out with the kicker two weeks ago.

We've been out-coached every single game this season, especially on the offensive side of the ball. Hutchinson's drop and the usual zebra shenanigans are just a distraction.
I don't think we were out coached this game. ISU was in good position to win the game. For example, Texas didn't blitz Dekkers much at all. IMO that was a huge Texas mistake. Pressure gets Dekkers flustered. That's part of the reason our offense was more effective.

X is the last person to blame. He’s the MVP and only reason we even had a chance.

Multiple things can be true at the same time.

We wouldnt be in a lot of games, including this one, without X. However, some big key drops at the end of games are concerning (but then again, there's often no one else we would even ask to make those plays)

I'd just like to know what Hutch was thinking when he left his feet for the ball. His leap, in terms of direction, didn't indicate he misjudged the length of the throw. Looked habitual and this one turned out to be poorly timed and misplaced.

I’m sure he knew best if he could catch in stride or needed to jump. We wouldn’t have been within 2-3 scores without him and he caught a clutch conversion a few downs later for a big chunk of yards.

X has to be perfect but apparently the rules of tackling being completely flexible with no logical rational has no outcome on any of our games.

Why? X is mastering drops at key times.
He had that good one on 4th down today, but those drops people are mentioning are legit mistakes he shouldn't be making.

And the refs shouldn't be making mistakes in the game either. **** happens.

I cannot believe we are turning this into a Hutchinson-bashing thread. We really are ******* stupid.

Looked better today.

I think ISU gets traction by November but it will be too late for a bowl.
