***Official Early Signing Day Thread***

Once Jadda is on board, it looks to me our backcourt is going to be set up very well for 2-3 years at least. Right now, other than just inexperienced, it seems to need one more guard for solid depth. Give BF that much time with talented 1s and 2s, lookout.

Seanna Johnson is also a very talented guard. Next year, depth and inexperience won't be an issue at all in the backcourt. The frontcourt might be a different story, even with Jensen coming in. If we get Potter, then I won't be too worried about depth.

By the way, the Ames Trib's Cody Westerlund tweeted yesterday that Lexi Albrecht (Carroll Kuemper) is expected to join the team next season as a preferred walk-on.

Lexi Albrecht is officially going to be walking-on next season. Not sure if walk-ons sign an NLI. @CycloneWBB originally called her a 5-1 G/F, then corrected it to 5-10. I'm not sure a 5-1 player is allowed to play forward... :)

I'm sure this has been asked before, but what is the difference between a walk-on, and a preferred walk-on?

Generally, a walk-on is given a tryout when they first get on campus. A preferred walk-on is told they have a spot on the team prior to coming. Basically, that means a regular walk-on is unrecruited and a preferred walk-on is recruited.

If I had to guess, I'd say Albrecht likely turned down scholarships (Div II, maybe low-level Div I) to walk-on at ISU, but she wouldn't do that without assurance from the coaching staff that they'd guarantee her a walk-on spot.

Buckley has now officially signed. We are just waiting on Potter to make a decision. The early signing period is a week long, so she may not decide today.

Let the Potter Watch begin! Good feeling about Potter signing with ISU, Mred?

I read somewhere....may have been a tweet.....that Potter was likely to make her decision during the earling signing period. Hope she decides to come to ISU! This is a good class already......her signing would make it potentially a great one.

The cyclones.com article now includes a cyclones.tv video (free, not premium) with BF's thoughts on the incoming players and a few Buckley/Johnson/Jensen highlights.

Just as a point of reference for me- currently limited access- could someone post the Hoopgurlz numbers for these ladies? Thx.
