*** Official Deadpool 2 thread ***

Really a fun sequel. Not serious about itself and does a good job of acknowledging the Marvel Universe (and taking shots at DC) while maintaining it's independence as a franchise. The consistent jokes leveraging Deadpool's ability to taking a beating in fight scenes and even subtitle cameo's for the full 2 hours really worked.
Infinity War maybe a better movie, but I feel Deadpool 2 is more re-watchable, quotable, and will hold up better over time.

Huge improvement over the first movie, better action and better comedy. Not only the perfect Deadpool movie but easily satisfied my X-Men fandom the most since First Class. It probably ranks as a top X team movie and it really was only a teaser for an X-Force movie.

They really nailed the unbreakable rag doll looking nature of Deadpool straight from the comic book panels more than in the first movie. Domino really stole a lot of scenes. Along with Wonder Woman and Thanos I'd say she's one of the coolest comic to screen realizations of the past few years.

Black Panther didn't blow me away as much as it did some but Infinity War and Deadpool 2 back to back has been ridiculously good stuff.

Saw it this weekend, thought it was great. No sequel letdown.
Forgot about TJ Miller...
Dopinder was hilarious.
Domino stole the show.

Looks like I'm in the minority here...

I thought it was just OK. Not near as good as the first movie. The jokes just didn't "hit" for me like they did in the original. A lot of it seemed forced somehow, and some of it I just didn't find all that funny.

Don't get me wrong...I didn't hate it. It was an OK movie, and there were a few standout hilarious moments, but overall it didn't quite live up to my expectations. Maybe those expectations were just too high.

Saw it last night, thought it was equal to the first one. The first one was so different from other movies, it's hard to decide when you know what your in for on the second.

I finally watched Deadpool 2 last night. My wife and I watched the Super-Duper Cut, but I guess I don't know what the differences are from the theatrical version.

I really enjoyed it. The action scenes were great. Pacing was a little off at times, especially in the first third of the movie. The second act was really well done. X-Force was hilarious. I think my wife enjoyed the first movie more than this one. She seemed to lose interest about 30 minutes in. I think the humor was better in the first film, but I enjoyed this movie more than the first one. Deadpool really works well with an ensemble cast to play off of, so I'm excited if they bring back X-Force into the third Deadpool film. I'll post my ranking of this film in the Fox/Marvel thread.
