Weatherspoon's brother is at Mississippi State. Newman transferred out of Mississippi State. I don't see how Malik Newman at KU helps KU in the Weatherspoon recruitment.

Hmm let's see. Newman was one of the top 5 players in his class and he goes to Mississippi State with Howland and the team stinks and he feels he was misused and was lied to about what his role was going to be. Weatherspoon visits KU and tells him. "hey, that place isn't going to help you etc. bc look what they did to me". And I would bet there is a good chance they know each other. Although, I will admit I didn't know his brother going there which makes it an uphill battle but I would bet they have as good as chance as anyone not named Miss St.
