Actually you could argue Rick Berry is one of the few players in history who shot free throws the best way possible. Granny style provides superior arc and spin, especially if you are a big man. Only reason not to do it is pride.

You could definitely argue that. 90% from the line for your career is great. But don't try to tell Brandon that, it doesn't look good so it's wrong and should be fixed by the coaching staff immediately!

I've watched a couple of their games this year. The knock on Lane has always been he's not a very good shooter, which in the Big 12 or any P5 conference means he has to be an absolutely ridiculous ball handler and athlete. And he's quick and pretty good with the ball, but no where near good enough to make up for shooting. There was some borderline D1 talent in that game on both sides, but nothing P5.

Looks promising, but much work to do in the weight room. With a frame like that we may not see him till his junior year
Update on M. Wright, Prohm and Otz going to see him during open period and looked to have prioritized him. Sounds like Wright is starting to get a lot of National attention (Oklahoma, Arizona and ASU getting involved).
