With the news of TJ leaving, here are tweets from Alex Halsted (https://twitter.com/AlexHalsted) regarding ISU's 2016 class.

--Iowa State JUCO PG signee Donovan Jackson tells me is going to take a week to think about everything given the T.J. Otzelberger news.

--Both Jakolby Long and Solomon Young plan to stick with Iowa State despite the T.J. Otzelberger news.

--Iowa State graduate transfer commit Darrell Bowie will stick with the Cyclones despite the Otzelberger news.

--I've heard that JUCO forward Emmanuel Malou will stick with Iowa State.

Oh good, something to panic about.

I certainly hope Jackson comes. But it's reassuring to know that the others are still committed to the good guys!

Is Moore's recruitment still open after the pastner news? I'd want to retain Jackson as the #1 option, but if it falls through, do we try to get back involved with moore?

This is not a surprise as it was clear Donovan Jackson expected Monte to be gone and to be the starter next year. Now he is facing playing 7-13 minutes a game his junior year. TJ leaving gives him a potential "out"...

If Jackson did want out, the silver lining would be that the staff might have a better chance of getting highly ranked PG bc they would be guaranteed to start right away.

I certainly hope Jackson still hope comes. He will join a loaded backcourt, but it is also an ideal situation for him, I would think to learn from the other Big 12 experienced guards on the team, with little pressure on him, and to be in an even better position to take over in his senior year. IT seems to me if he is interested in improving as a player, ISU is a perfect place and circumstance for him to do that.

More from AH:
For clarity, Jackson said he'd take "another week or so" to think "about everything that's been happening lately." Has talked with Prohm.

We are over on scholarships and honestly losing him would suck but we are good on guards for 16-17 and we could really sell to a high level 2017 PG recruit if Jackson backs out. I understand why he is rethinking things. He committed thinking Naz would be graduated and Monte may be gone.

Possible but I doubt it considering the scholarship situation and the amount of guards ISU has on roster for next year. Moore is looking for immediate playing time and while it's true his interest cooled on ISU with Donovan Jackson signing but at that time the assumption Monte was turning pro and Naz was graduating.

I am still feeling D-Jax stays but if he were to leave I would guess the staff would look to add 2 PG for the '17 class (one transfer or JC and on Fresh) at this point.

Him and Monte were excited about playing together. Thomas and Niang were upset the first time Otz left, but they still stuck around.

Where did you get that new from? Jackson said before that he was excited about playing with Monte.

I really have no idea if he's walking on or not. Just thought that post was interesting. I know for a fact he wouldn't be. Scholarship player as he's from the same high school as me. (From Ames originally and he moved out there.)

This news should get the staff's attention.

@JeffGoodmanESPN Georgia Tech commit Romello White's mother told ESPN that her son has had change of heart. Has requested release from his letter of intent.
