****Official Class of 2016 Recruiting Thread****

ISU has gotten two crystal ball picks for Kostas:

I heard that ISU was no longer recruiting him anymore so this is a strange turn.

Things change. I doubt TJ is letting him get too far away, it just wouldn't make sense until Kostas officially eliminates us. Or the other scenario is he's told everyone he's focusing on what he's doing and what Marquette and ISU are doing so just chill out until the spring.

He's not the "standard" HS recruit.

Jerry Meyer responded to a tweet about why he picked ISU. Not really sure what this means. Maybe ISU is one of the only schools recruiting him?

Sounds like a process of elimination. Jerry may have eliminated Marquette for some reason (maybe the reason Gunnerclone mentioned), and if he isn't aware of any other schools recruiting him, that leaves us.

It's so weird that Charlie Moore and Kostas are looking like the most reasonable bets to sign with ISU. I wonder if we're just blinded by the way the CFH staff did things vs. the way the Prohm staff is going to operate on the trail. I feel like we're in that "don't count us out on anyone" category especially with a top 10 pre-season ranking.

A little fantasy world here but can you imagine the kids we would pull if CFH was the HC with TJ back on board? JFC.

3 picks for Kostas to ISU this morning with the first being Evan Flood a Wisconsin Insider, he may know something. Strange indeed, I hope where there is smoke...

Jerry Meyer as well. Although it sounds like it's not based on Intel or knowledge but rather just a guess. Will be interesting to follow.

@jerrymeyer247: @MitchKleve More that it is the most logical pick at his point as far as I can see.

Edit: Late late late. Should have read the previous page before posting lol

Your doing CF wrong..

Even though Meyer's pick was more of a guess it is still strange that two other people picked ISU when just yesterday Hines said he doesn't believe we're still recruiting him.

Everyone's probably assuming that whatever Hines says, the opposite is actually true.

Evan Flood usually has his finger on the pulse of Wisconsin High School basketball recruiting. I trust him more than some random poster here. He was the first of the 3 to make that pick this morning.

Things change, again, I hope there might be something to this smoke.

So should we just assume that Monte's going pro next year since we need to give out scholarships to Moore, the new Greek Freak and Thon Maker?

I agree, Flood usually is in the know with Wisconsin bball.

Prohm seems to have a different recruiting philosophy than Hoiberg.

Neither has been able to land the very top of the top talent.

It seems that Hoiberg would go for the second tier guys with the well-developed skill set (Morris, Thomas and Niang). Prohm seems to be going for those with raw, athletic potential. Yes my choice of adjectives is kind of a joke but it does seem to be true.
