ISU can reasonably play its way up to a 6 and that would be huge I think. Not only are the 3s softer than the 2s, but at least one 14 has beaten a 3 each of the last four years. Playing an 11 and a 14 to get to the Sweet 16 would be pretty nice.

I like it except for your bubble teams. I would put Cal, Syracuse and even Texas Tech over Seton Hall and Tennessee. Clemson already has 7 conference losses, I wouldnt put them anywhere near the bubble.

Also, I like where you have West Virginia. Alot of brackets have them as a 3 seed but I just dont see it. They have some head scratching losses.

Their next 2 games will be big in that department. I will root against them, with vigor, regardless of how it affects our quality of loss. It was a bad loss no matter how it's defined.
I'd never root for them, but at least now there's some value in them winning. **** it, let's just win out and then Iowa can go back to being completely irrelevant.

New bracketologies are out today. ESPN, CBS, USA TODAY, all the usual suspects.

7 seed in the ESPN
10 seed in NBC? I believe

Somewhere in between everywhere else.

This is a year (like most should be perspective-wise) where getting in is what's important. Let things roll from there and hope for the best.

W. Virginia over Wisconsin is interesting. Could mean that the Big 12 will get a boost like last year in seeding.

CBS has us back outside the top 50. Good news is that Miami is ranked 50th now, moving our top 50 win total up to 4 for now.

As long as we at least get to 9-9 I dont see how we wont finish at least tied for 4th. A team like K-state or TCU is going to have to get hot and pull off some big wins in order to finish ahead of us. Oklahoma State has a chance but dug themselves a deep hole early.

Thats taking into account we win the remaining games we are suppose to win.

Those 2 games told us what I hoped they would. I didn't see them but they competed against Minny. Minny isn't great but in the barn they are a tough out. If ISU went in there and won I'd be impressed so I have to be fair and say that Iowa almost impressed me. :)
