Yep. Casuals think Belgium is mid-tier when they are a top 5ish team in Europe. They are elite and we can still beat them
I think we’ve made progress in the last 15 years, but still a long way to go. Either need an elite striker or wait for the next generation and hope they are better

meh... its still #4 or #5 or #6 on a ranking or what american fans care about. add in college sports and it is even further down the list.

They explained it in a different game. It's to try to apply pressure deep in the opponent's half.
The gap between us and the Belgian players is much less than it was 12 years ago. The difference is Belgium has tons of experience playing high-pressure games against quality opponents.
