We always knew Fred didn’t care about defense. Took it to a whole new level today
Mast 0-7 from 3…. their other big guy was 0-4 from 3. Maybe…. instead of bricking 3’s all night, they should have been dominating Iowa in the paint all night like they could have. Just a thought.

NE's defense allowed for this style of game, an adult men's Rec/YMCA 3 point contest game. NE settled on offense, trying to match the 3s. Their 7th-year senior whiped up the paint with Koch in the 1st half. Don't recall any iso-post ups by him in the 2nd half. Poor strategy in the 2nd half (obviously).
2 things…. got switched up in threads thought I was in the women’s thread and second of all read the board. I’ve been here long enough to see there are plenty of Iowa State fans, that even if they don’t like Iowa, they don’t understand the crazy irrational comments.
It’s a game… And had Iowa lost that game, like I expected to them too I would’ve still got out of it and said wow what a hell of a game that was amazing
Regardless of what happens to Iowa next round I think this confirms that we are probably going to lose tomorrow. I call it the when it rains it pours theory.

It was boys (Hoiberg) versus men (McCollum) tonight. Never trust a Hoiberg coached team.
Sad thing is…if all of these guys were wearing the jerseys and tie color they wore last year, ai’d be thrilled for them.

Illinois is really really good… And I’ve watched Houston play a couple times this year. I don’t remember if they have any injuries or not, but I don’t see Iowa beating either one of them, especially Illinois.
I think Iowa did a good job defensively plugging the lane to dare them to shoot.
The reason that worksed is because Iowa made like 15 threes and kept them in the game
