I hate playing a scrappy underdog team that has a chance to go somewhere they have never been. This tourney is known for teams exactly like SC to upset a 2 seed. Any normal day of the week outside the tourney I think we handle both teams pretty well.
Think Kentuckys length and the fact that they already have a decent crowd there makes me prefer Santa Clara. But we will have to play well to beat either
Definitely one of those games where I can make a case for both, either way.
This is the smart take. People who are cheering for a team that has elite recruits and potential NBA talent over a glorified G5 team need to check themselves a bit.
You want SC as you are better then then in every single way. Kentucky if they click and if those guys want to show off for the scouts could be a problem.

Kentucky is "undisciplined" for sure but they also just don't look that good. Like they have some talent for sure, everyone in this tourney does except the low-major tourney champs who got hot, but if I didn't know better I'd never guess this is the most expensive roster in the country by a wide margin.
Yeah I think Kentucky will be much more motivated against a 2 seed than a 10 seed mid major. I also like a TJ team against a mid major who hasn't experienced anything like our defense

For those saying Kentucky can't shoot, please remember that college basketball players WILL shoot well when they have good looks, and Pope has consistently shown he has been able to put together game plans against Iowa State that generates many open looks.
Yeah if you get a team like KY giving a **** then they're the ones who can actually beat anyone.
