Don’t know about Iowa, but the air was terrible in KC last night. Dust and the smoke came up from the Oklahoma fires. Created a smog that rivaled an uncontrolled smoke filled bar room.
We were outside in the evening last night only to walk from our hotel to T-Mobile and back. Looked like smog or haze everywhere in the air, but it was much too dry and windy for that. This morning my hair and sweater smelled like smoke. Was happy I didn't wear my contacts.

Looking at the radar, the same low that created the bad weather system in the south, loops around and is bringing blowing snow in Minnesota.

Are the storms near Nashville bad? Currently Auburn and Tennessee are playing in the SEC tournament

The number of tornado warnings at one time in such a small area is pretty wild.

Nah. Turning an emergency tool into a nonemergency tool will only make people ignore it. Sorry if that offends.

In a world with pocket computers it really doesn’t matter. If you’re outside (the intended audience for tornado sirens) you probably have one anyway and then you get to decide if for yourself it’s a “non-emergency”.
